New Character Classes

DeletedUser8627

I would love to, but I do not have photoshop. It would be awesome if someone else could make some avatars.

ye
let ask Den and Da Twisa.

I heard my name

Ok I just read through the first post in this thread and having new classes will be awesome. Many people 'specialize' in certain of them in the classes that are already offered.

Ok forgive, I'm not going to read through another 9 pages but I will see what I can do for avatars. Time consuming yes, as I will have to draw these free hand and then design from there to prevent any copyright infringement and it would like Innogames to use it but that will only happen if it's not copyright material, of course having my permission to use it as well.

So are they still needed or will it be a waste of time?

And i contacted da twista to make some avatars for this idea, and he said he'll make some shortly. So a portion of the work the devs need to do is already going to be done.

Oh now it's all coming in place, I did receive the idea on the .net forum. Sorry I was not too sure what they were used for. I will refer to them now for you.

well, Zet just kind of rejected new character classes due to it's complexity.

I think we need to see a poll for new character classes.

I'm not gonna let zet just shoot it down. No way i'll give up on this idea.

I liked most of your ideas, but I sort of disagree with the last of the native american bonuses. Here it is just to refresh your memory:

Level 80: The cost to buy town items is reduced by 10%

That seems really pointless to me. At that level 80, you probably have all the items you need already and have no need to buy any more items. Plus, not many people really play to that level since it just takes a while and they might just quit by then. So what I think would be appropriate is to lower it to level 70 and instead make it so that they get a 15% bonus to horseback riding. So it would look like this:

Level 70: Horseback riding is improved by 15%

I think that this would be more appropriate, tell me what you think :).

I want the levels to achieve more bonuses to be equal throughout all classes. The additional bonuses might actually not work/not be accepted by the devs, so in that case it'll go back to the 4 bonuses per class, and I'll change some stuff around.

I think the cost to buy products reduction bonus is still quite useful at lvl 80. I'm at level 78 in-game right now and I hardly have any gear. So it can still be quite useful if you're interested in trying to get new jobs unlocked, not to mention it's a 6th bonus, so should be happy to have more than just 4 if you ask me.

What zet said on the beta forums actually might have not referred to new character classes, but rather one of justin michaels ideas, but i'm not sure. kind of vague.

I'm still buying the different character classes and saloon NPCs parts, as well as some others like removing ghost towns and variations of pre founded towns. However I'm not too hot on messing with the world speed or duelling system. Perhaps a way to customise the number or size of forts too, or the number of counties?

Fort Specialist
Advantages:
The chance to find a product by surviving in a battle is increased by 10%.
The earned experienced for a fort battle is increased by 10%.
The level needed to use a fort weapon is lowered by 5 levels.

Additional Bonuses:
Level 20: You receive 10 extra bonus points for battles.
Level 60: The time to travel to a fort is reduced by 25%.
Level 80: You receive a 5% increase to all 5 of your battle skills.

Avatars: Cannoneer, Gunslinger, Outlaw, Patriot

I think that the bonuses are good. :)

However, I am going to pick on your names. ;)

Perhaps we could name this class "Officer" and have Cannoneer, Cavalry, Infantry, and Patriot. I think that just sounds more realistic.

Native American
Additional Bonuses:
Level 60: You may choose to go on 12 hour KO whenever you wish

I don't think they'll go for that.

Also, the names aren't very realistic.

Army Combatant
Advantages:
The motivation for dueling rises 10% faster.
The level needed to use a weapon is lowered by 3 levels.
You receive 20% more money from a duel.

Additional Bonuses:
Level 20: In duels, you receive a bonus of 10% to your Appearance and Tactics skills.
Level 60: In duels, you receive a bonus of 5% to your Dodging skill.
Level 80: In duels, you receive a bonus of 10% to your Aim skill.

Avatars: General, Guard, Rifleman/Riflewoman, Scout

This character is basically the dueler. Should be named "Rouge" or something.

I presented a group of ideas, with new classes being the focal point. I think the NPC system might be too complicated. The other stuff is all pretty small. Maybe this game doesn't need faster worlds, but a speed world in particular, where it would cost someone 5 nuggets to join might just attract a lot of players and help the game make some money. I'm not sure about how the number or size of forts can be customizable and they could reduce the size of the map a little...

The names aren't that important. If the devs do choose to put in any of these classes, it's likely they will pick their own names. And the lvl 60 bonus for native americans is very iffy and I doubt it can be implemented easily. Need a new bonus to replace that. And I don't like the "army combatant" name either, just couldn't think of anything. I'm not keen on rogue though.

i vote for the option of forget skills so a re spec is painless :)

That's not part of this idea.

I think the overall concept is really good and well thought out.

The only thoughts that I have would be in the character class quests. Although I am a soldier in a world, or two, or three (lol) I am not a fan of 'The Avenger' quest(s), but I do like the awards given in 'The Game of Life' quests for the dueler class which is why I am partial to the current dueler class (of course this is said IMHBCO!).

Would your idea combine the different class quests together as your ideas of combining the different class advantages? Or are you still in the 'brainstorming' phase of this part of the game? :D

DeletedUser

My idea doesn't include the class quests that would go along with the new classes. and I don't plan on putting an entire quest line together for 4 new classes if the devs don't even plan to put this idea in-game. For now, a new world would open with just those new classes and no class quests would be available, unless the devs choose to put the quests in.

Interesting, but why do away with the other classes?

Because there are already 10 worlds with them ;)

If the devs want, they can mix and match even.

The bonuses is too much don't let them be the same ones as the old ones. Make a different bonuses for each classes plz?!

DeletedUser

I think some people just miss the part where I say the devs can either use a new method of unlocking more bonuses as you level up OR they can stick with the 4 bonuses and can use the level 20 bonus as the fourth bonus.

Also, it's hard to come up with new bonuses that are implementable. Some of the old bonuses are just necessary to keep in the game.

I'll be updating some stuff here later this week. I'm busy with this game. Need to update this, farm idea, dueling guide, and produce a blog. And Christmas is in 2 days.

the Army Staff would be brilliant invention and I would be one of them and i think the game could do with them in it.

So ppl Plz start to bring a few of these ideas in for world 12

I have just added a mock-up to the first post. I also erased the duel length idea and moved the NPC Dueling System from this thread to it's own thread for discussion.

DeletedUser

I edited the idea so that it only includes new character classes.

I will also be adding bonuses for the existing classes and removing 1 or 2 that I have proposed because Diggo is a poopy head, and he's a poopy head and smells really bad!
