New Character Classes

bonuses, advantages?
What would be it for?

Hmm. Hadn't really thought about it. Maybe a health advantage like the soldier? And maybe incorporate praying or the church in with it somehow.

I'm not really the type of person to go into detail with ideas, I just spitball around. If anyone has anything they would like to add, then feel welcome.

I don't see how a doctor would be practical, and shaman kind of insinuates indians, and that would inevitably lead to cowboys vs. indians, which the devs have said they don't want...however, you have intrigued my interest...what would the shaman's bonus be?

The new character's bonus are way better than the older one's though. Maybe we should develop a builder class with better bonuses too?

I like these ideas very much. I think there needs to be more characters. You are set in the same one forever. We all change in our careers as we go. So give us something new to strive toward. Other on-line games have ranks--we could do that for each character as well. I support HotNSexy's ideas.

As much as I would personally like to see this, diggo refuses to move it to DD, so there won't be any new classes in the future. Ironically enough, the devs are planning to incorporate one aspect of this idea, which is the unlocking of more bonuses as you level up, as stated in the road map. Whether it was their original idea of if they took a peek at this one, who knows.

well in any case it's a compromise, so I say we should be content with that.

If your thinking about bringing bonuses then I think I might have an idea of how you could do it. Make it like the clothing bonuses but like you can choose two or three skils and it randomly chooses how many bonus skills you get. So for example: your lev 50 and can choose three skills; so you pick aim, shooting and health. Then your randomly given 12 shooting, 7 health and 4 aim.

Get what I mean?

Not quite. As I said, I think quite a bit of it is change for the sake of change. I am happy to see classes like Pioneer, which provides a second option to your Adventurer. Also new classes like Fort Specialists seem interesting. I however think it is totally unnecessary to add yet another duelling class and a purely Indian class.

The other point I put forward was the level dependant bonuses. When you add these to new classes, it is basically an unspoken requirement you add the same to old classes. I'd be much happier if your idea addressed this, as it stands it makes your idea incomplete.

The whole purpose of this idea is to introduce these classes to new worlds, so although we currently already have 2 dueler classes, the one presented here would be the only one in a new world.

Also, there's now no need to add the level requirements to old classes since the developers are already planning this as stated in the road map.

As a dev said, the game is not coded to support two different versions running parallel. Whatever you add must go onto all worlds, old and new.

If the new classes were to be added right now then bonuses for the existing classes would have to be added right now too. If you want to wait a year until the roadmap is complete then sure thing I'll move it across without them. You see my point? ;)

Except even if this idea gets passed to the devs, they surely won't even consider it until the roadmap ideas are all complete, which includes their plan to introduce unlockable bonuses at different levels, so it'll already be in place before they even look at implementing this idea. You see my point? ;)

hi, um im not sure this is a good idea but mabye there could be a thief class
Bonuses:
-Upon winning a duel take 1 random item from opponents inventory (non-equipped)
-Speed on the map is increased by 25% (they have to be able to get away faster)
-Danger in a job is increased by 15% (Because no one likes thieves)

Lvl 20- Shopping items prices decreased by 10%
Lvl 60- Take 2 random items from opponents inventory
Lvl 80- 45% more money taken in a duel

I think this would help because it would teach people to sell unwanted items, or keep their money in the bank.
Tell me what you think, either in-game or here

lol, i bet certain item hoarders would be very annoyed by this... sadly i don't think its a good idea
