(OOC: Fair 'Nuff, i don't see how i could have saved them anyway)

Richard looked up at the pub as he noticed that Tom's group had stopped firing.
"what are they doing?" John asked.
"they must have been overrun! Keep firing in the name of Oswald Moseley!" Richard shouted.
a few of the Irish and a few of the commies had been hit and were lying on the road, screaming. the others had managed to get to cover.
"CEASE FIRE!" Richard shouted. "Reload and look for targets!"

When Jack heard the calm day turn into heck, he returned to his men and said," Men! it's time for us to move out to the battle! We will charge from the forest and hope to find our allies! if not, we will hide in the forest and start firing at enemies!" then they rode off into two lines, five cavalry on each side and Jack was in front of them.

after a short while it became apparent to Richard that this was absolutely useless.
"fallback!" he ordered.
"to where?" asked Herbert.
"that Butcher's shop behind us!' Richard said.
the group stood up and launched into a crouching run towards the Butchers'. as they reached it Simon tried the handle but it wouldn't budge.
"it's locked!" he said.
" of course it's locked!" said Richard who then promptly pulled out his revolver and shot the lock off.
the five men ran in and took up positions behind the counter.
Richard took a few knifes off the wall and placed them on the counter.
"throw these if neccessary, Herbert, smash a few loopholes in the window glass with your rifle butt."
Herbert did as he was told and started to smash holes in the large glass shop front.

When Jack arrived at the forest he ordered his men to take cover behind bushes and trees and such, then fire at every single orange uniform they see." bloody hell, I didn't expect this to go like that! I wounder who started it! FIRE!" Jack screamed at his men because they could barley hear him when he talk." In case I am busy fighting, tell me if you see any of our allies here!" Jack screamed again.

(OOC: Tigermite do you mind if I control your two guys in the window? If so then you will need to post what they will do. Just tell me yes and I will edit in a story here. He agreed)

They turned and said "We are republican soldiers. We surrender" and they laid down their Lewis Gun. Ben waited a few seconds and motioned to Max to take the Lewis Gun. The soldiers removed all of their equipment and Ben said "I thank you for your co-operation. I will let you leave. Head south and never come back. Re-enlist if you must but next time expect to die." He walked them downstairs and they ran off. They headed that way and Ben walked back to the Irish soldiers. "Right then. Where were we?"

While Jack was reloading and got ready to fire, he saw the two running soldiers running, " what the? if those two are here, then the rest must be around somewhere, but where?" then he started looking around in the city to find the other allies." Men, stay here, I will go and find the other allies!"

Richard nervously held his rifle as he crouched down behind the Butcher's counter, there was still some meat on it that the Butcher obviously hadn't had time to clear away.
he didn't want to risk eating it raw so he took a nearby small brown paper bag, stuffed a couple sausages in and tucked the bag into his breast pocket. hopefully he would be able to eat them on a field stove once he was out of this mess.
turning back to the window he scanned the area for signs of movement, the firing had died down, although there was the odd shot coming from some Anglicans in the village church.

Bill sat with his back to the low stone wall with two of his comrades, Lee meanwhile lay in the street his blood flowing into a nearby drain. Bill didn't who had shot him, whether it was the sniper from the church or the Fascists all he knew was that there would be vengeance. Pulling a bottle of Newky Brown (OOC: Newcastle Brown Ale) and a match from within his trenchcoat Bill set about lighting the rag stuffed with the bottles neck, Barry and John both followed suit "Choke on this fascist pigs" "Long live the revolution" "This is for Lee you swine" the cries went up as the molotovs sailed through the air to explode amongst the BUF lines.
Using what little respite from the shooting Bill grabbed Lee's gun before running down teh street he had to get back to the train station, you couldn't see that damn church from back there and he was in serious need of more fire power.

Richard ducked as a flaming molotov cokctail exploded on the village sign, where Richard's men were before he'd retreated.
as Richard watched the village sign burn to the ground he noticed a Communist runnign down the street towards the train station.
an unworthy target. and besides, if he shot him, it wold reveal Richard's position to the Welsh, Irish and Commies.
instead Richard went back to watching the burning village sign, he knew that by the end of this debacle the entire village would probably look like that. oh well...

"Sir." "What Jim? Have those numbskulls outside finally decided to attack?" "No. But Phillip requested I report they're demolishing the train station." "Our reinforcements won't come by train. Just make sure our marksmen gun down any idiot in their sites." "I'll relay that sir."

Phillip looked calmly through his scope. His patience had been rewarded as one of the Communists who was on countersniper duty was distracted by gunfire elsewhere. A single pull of the trigger and the man dissapeared from sight. Then a series of explosions most likely from molotov cocktails (ooc: This name wasn't correct until the Winter War, right?) rocked the area. He saw some figures running down the street. He fired, one collapsed. He fired again, a store window shattered. The other fellow dissapeared from sight. Oh well, Phillip sighted his gun in on the man he'd shot, perhaps his friends would try to help him?

(OOC: I think you might be right, either way we're hurling fire bombs that in a years time will be named after a Russian politician)

There was a scream of pain as the bullet tore through John's lower back, his shotgun skittering across the street towards them. Barry swore turning back to rescue their wounded comrade only to be stopped by Bill "No Barry that damn sniper kill us both if we go back for him, he's already had your ear" Barry turned from Bill to John torn between what was sensible and what was right "We can't just leave him out there" he spoke a look of anguish in his eyes, he'd known John ever since they were boys playing on the Liverpool docks and the thought of leaving him to die in the street was unbearable.
Bill stood with his back to the wall, the church tower was out of sight from where he stood but if he was to make the slightest move then know doubt the sniper would have him "Ok I have an idea, pass me that bottle of Newky you're carrying" Lighting the firebomb Bill watched as the rag began to burn "Ok we'll only get one shot at this so we'll have to be quick" Barry nodded his head in understanding clutching his rifle close to his chest. Bill slowly counted to three before hurling the fire bomb into the street to land behind John, a cry of terror coming from his lips. Bill watched as the flames got higher filling the street with smoke, Bill ran weaving as he went, there was the crack of rifle fire the bullet richocheting off of a curb stone. Grabbing John by the collar Barry and bill dragged their comrade across the ground, it would be agony but it was quicker than trying to pick him. Another rifle shot came bursting through the now dwindling smoke screen but by that time they had gotten around the corner and were now proceeding to carry their wounded comrade back towards the train station.

"Who goes.." " Its us you idiot now go find Tanya John's dying here!" Bill screamed as they entered the station "What the hell happened? wheres Lee?" his brother Jack asked rushing over to them "Lee's dead them damn fascists have a sniper in the church" (OOC: I know your Anglican but he doesn't) Jack swore they were two down and there was stilll no sign of any relief. "Martin started cutting the telephone lines and keep out of sight of that church, Garry, Neil set fire to the sheds that should stop any trains not coming from Liverpool" Bill snapped out orders as Tanya did her best to stop the bleeding, before the revolution she had been a nurse, in reality they needed a surgeon and even with one John's chances of survival were slim.

( jack talking to william)"hmm....We have lost a lot of men lately. If we only take that church out, it will be easier for us to attack with out getting sniped. I am going to take 110 men with me and the artillery so I can destroy the church and it's walls so we wont have to worry about them! I am sorry about your men, but it is war. I suggest you gather another army and come after me, by the time you arrive the church's wall will be down!" then he left with his men.

Phillips target was lost in the smokescreen which he pumped two bullets into in vain. He sighed, the prey had outsmarted the hunter and there was no doubt those Socialists would keep away from the Church's steeple like the plague.

Fulton paced the floor, where were the Georgians? With each passing minute he worried that the revelation that the town's most prominent observation point was occupied by forces who would kill anything they could see in the town might draw a heavy assault, or even worse an artillery strike...

DeletedUser24989

Jack got closer to the city. He would have been at the church in a long time but since he was using the artillery, He was forced to move in a slow pace. " when we get to the city, I want you all to hide in the buildings, except for few because I want you to reload, and fire the artillery. I want who ever in that church pay for every man they killed and for every shot the fired at us." then they started marching to the city again.

(The Irish wear bright green uniforms. The helmets are orange... Also, the Irish were supposed to be in a different pub than the other guys.)

Shamus was about to shake with the communists, when all of a sudden, the sound of combusting propellent echoed through the air. A micron later, Shamus's helmet was knocked off his head, and landed, with a loud clunk, about 10 feet away. "Enemy in the church!" he yelled, and the men with him got down. The remaining men in the pub saw that the group was being fired upon, and started firing at the church. "To the pub!" Shamus yelled. The Irish got up to leave, but then disaster struck again.

The sound of machine gun fire and firebombs filled the air, causing the Irish to scatter. Sinead was hit with a bullet to the lower chest, Connor's uniform was singed off at the shoulder, and Shamus had taken a bullet to the left arm. "Communists, Irishmen, get to the pub!" They tried the best they could to get to the pub, and barely made it, before more firebombs went off. "I haven't seen fighting this fierce since, what happened to you brother?" Andrew ran over to Shamus. "Get back to your position, Andrew," Shamus said. "I'm fine. It's only a flesh wound."

"There was some fire coming from the church. William, I want you to blow a hole in that wall. Sinead and myself will stay here, tend to our wounds." Connor interrupted. "He died, sir." Shamus sighed. "Alright. I'll stay here, get my arm in fighting condition again, and try and get to the communists. Andrew will lead. Harry and Ronald go to that nearby wall to provide covering fire. James will provide sniper cover from wherever he sees fit. I'll try and get the communists to help you guys. Now go!" The Irish went to their ordered places. Shamus got a rag for his arm, and took his Webley out, leaving his rifle on his back. A few quick window looks showed where the communists were taking cover. In a lull during the fighting, Shamus ran over to them. "It's me, Shamus, with the Irish Republican Army. There's at least two groups attacking us. I've lost one men, and sent the rest on an attack on the church. Can you send any men with them?"

After Jack and his men got to the city, they hid in buildings and got ready to fire from the windows. three of his men were outside with the artillery. " Ok men, aim at the church, and get ready to fire at my signal!" the men reloaded the artillery and aimed at the church. " FIRE!" the artillery fired, the shell went right into the church with an explosion. " that will keep them busy for a while. Fire!"
The men fired at the church five in accurate times, but they hit the church three times. " now now, reload and aim at the wall!"

The first artillery shells started to scream in, one flew through the staineded glass windows and flew through the church before exploding after making another hole in the wall, Fulton yelled for everyone to get into the mainroom in a voice that echoed throughout the church. As Brody and his associates dashed out of the rear part of the church an artillery shell crashed into their original station engulfing it in flames. Suddenly they heard another explosion up above and masonry crashed through the roof and smashed several of the pews. A direct hit on the steeple. Where were those marksmen, Fulton wondered....

When Jim heard the first shell crash through the window and explode outside he yelled to Ron to help the two second story snipers pack up while he ran up and helped Phillip. As he ran up the stairs he could hear inaccurate artillery shells churning up the grounds...

The artillery shells were coming in thick as Phillip moved to pack up. It was a quick job and he was on his way down the stairs when he stumbled. He smashed his leg against the wall which opened up an old bullet wound from the Great War. Blood was rushing down his pantleg. He managed to catch himself before he could trip down the stairs. He yelled in pain as he attempted to bring himself down the stairs...

Where was Phillip? Jim wondered as he rushed up the stairs. He should have run into him by now. As he turned a corner he nearly crashed into Phillip. Jim saw the blood, "C'mon!" He yelled and supported the other man as they moved down the stairs. The shells sounded like they were getting closer. As they neared the bottom of the steeple Jim heard a shell whistling in far closer than the others, "Get down!" He cried out before forcing Phillip down as the shell impacted the steeple...

Fulton searched through the dust that was blocking the view of the second story stairwell, where were they? Then he recognized Ron, Davis, and Doley coming through the dust. But, what of Phillip and Jim? Then as the trio came to the bottom of the stairs Fulton spotted Jim and Phillip. He saw Phillip was being aided by Jim, "Someone go and help Jim with Philllip," he yelled and Ron pulled back to help the two. As they approached Fulton noticed Phillip's bloodied leg. "Gonna make it." "Don't worry about it sir, we should evacuate first." "Right on." Dennis, a large burly man, who was leading the way with the Maxim gun that he was going to fire from his hip got the go from Fulton. He crashed through the front door. And everyone else hurriedly followed. Fulton reached the gates and pulled out a key shaped like a cross, the gate was opened and they rushed across the street to a small apartment. Fulton took one last glance behind him, he saw a shell go into the main hall and the church was engulfed in flames....

Ben exited the pub upon seeing it empty and spotted a Irish uniform. He ran over towards them and saw them conversing with what looked like a communist. He ordered his men to bring up their weapons and train them on the pair. If something went wrong they were to open fire. He ran towards them and upon arriving shouted "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" he shouted "WE WERE HEADING THROUGH THE TOWN WHEN SUDDENLY ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! THERE IS AN ARMY EN-ROUTE!" There was a large blast and suddenly about thirty men streamed through. One paused at Ben and said " WHAT ABOUT THE COMMIES?!" To which Ben replied "I THINK THEY ARE ON OUR SIDE! ATTACK THE CHURCH. THE COMMIES AND THE IRISH ARE OUR ALLIES! IF THE COMMIES FIRE AT YOU THOUGH RETURN FIRE!" the man relayed these orders and they ran towards the church. Soon there was a fight going on and the doors of the church were broken down. (OOC: I leave it to someone to finish it off at this point)

"FIRE" Jack screamed. The artillery fired with out stopping at the church and the walls. The walls that protected the church have fallen, and now the church can be attacked from many sides." Charge!" All of the cavalry men charged to the church murdering everything they see in their sight. When jack passed through the walls, he spotted the orange helmets moving around, "Murder them!" the Cavalry men charged into the Irish.
