Richard looked up as the Welshmen ordered him to surrender. he looked around.
there was an explosion from the butcher's shop. the BUF who had taken cover in the nearby buildings seemed to be pulling back.
he had no choice then.
"fine. I surrender." Richard replied through gritted teeth.

The gunfire had died down by now, it was as if everyone were holding their breath. "Good" said Max, who then walked over and hit the BUF man with the butt of his rifle. He then grabbed his arms and put him in a Nelson whilst Thomas grabbed the BUF man's stuff. Then Ben pulled out some rope from the cart and chucked it to Tom who tied up the fascist and then patted him down for weapons. Satisfied they bundled him in the back of the cart. "Tom" Ben said and Tom turned to look "Go and get the others to come here. The rest are falling back, also send one of the other two commanders to bring in the rest of the army. This village is ours now." and with that he lit another stick of dynamite and chucked it into another BUF building. Tom then set off running across the square, he was across in a couple of seconds, It seemed whoever was out there dared not stick their heads out, He spoke quickly with all of them and then they set off back across the square. Slowly this time, Moving in a circle with all their guns up. They reached without an incident. Now there were about twenty-five of them.

(Sorry about being M.I.A so long.)

Once the first stick of dynamite was thrown at their position Fulton had given a ceasefire order. He could not understand why the enemy had halted their attack on the butcher shop as it was still standing and was still a very imposing edifice. The detonation of the dynamite had destroyed the door barricade and had given Jim a nasty shrapnel wound. However he would probably pull through and as the battle raged outside the boy was temporarily patched up. As the battle made a few more gasps in the courtyard outside Fulton prepared to take drastic action.

The Welshmen were moving back to finish off the BUF remnants. Fulton gave Dennis a single order, "Fire!" The first burst caught the Welshmen closest to the Butcher shop and sent their limp forms crashing into the ground. The marksmen picked off those advancing on the BUF position and then the two fields of fire drove inward. Like cattle rushing to avoid prods the Welshmen were forced into a pocket in the town square. Those that didn't reach it in time were slaughtered by sniper fire and automatic rounds. Fulton glanced at the situation, a handful of Welshmen, a BUF prisoner, and a man who appeared to be a commander were penned into a zone where weapons were not to be fired into. Satisfied the enemy was pinned Fulton came down the stairwell. He gave Hoten a glance and waved for him, Haley, and Doley to follow his lead. His grip tightened on his rifle as he took the first step onto the ruined front step of the butcher shop. He called out to the enemy then.

"This is Dennis Fulton of the Anglican League! I demand you immediately stand down and drop your weapons. If you do not do so that area you are in will be engulfed in a storm of lead. Do not think you can escape as marksmen will pick off any man who can escape the automatic bursts. And do not fire on me or you will all receive the same treatment. I repeat, stand down and drop your arms. We may then negotiate terms." Fulton's escorts grunted, their shotguns poised to at least keep the enemy's head down with the illusion of rifle fire, it was a gamble. Would the enemy stand down?

Ben swore, this was not his day, after the Anglicans had opened fire only Max, Matthew, Thomas and Simon had survived, then he heard something and smiled, he told Matthew to guard the prisoner. Then he stepped out into the open, "I think actually you might want to surrender" he said smiling "Because do you hear that distant rumbling, that is the sound of reinforcements, a lot of reinforcements. And if they find us dead they are going to be a lot angrier than if they find us alive, So I suggest unconditional surrender and we will let you live." and with that he stepped back into the building, hopefully they would realise it was actually just probably one cavalry regiment and two troop squadrons like he had asked for.

Okay guys, since this thread has pretty much died, i'll just do what i normally do and write up what happened to the characters;

The surviving BUF retreated out of the village and regrouped at company HQ, where they were reassigned to defend against an Anglican offensive.

the IRA and Socialists moved up into the village and joined in the fight.

the Welsh held their ground, and with the help of the IRA and the Commies, they pushed back the Anglicans.

the Anglicans regrouped at a farm north of the village, after receiving reinforcements they attacked the village, where they got bogged down in heavy fighting.

so thanks to all the participants, and get ready for another installment coming sometime next year!
