I loved that game too, I was very disapointed when it finished prematurely.

Perhaps in the Saloon of every town you could have the option to play those members in poker if they are currently online. They could even attempt to cheat, like allowing them to sneak in one wild card and the risk could decreased if they had tactics, fine motor skills and dodging. For every 10 hands played $10 or $15 from the foreign player could be given to the town treasury. The three skills could be spread across evenly. This may make the game more complicated but I think it would be a worthy addition.

It would be nice to set up a town only tournament, might help group cohesion.

I don't really care for it. There's more than enough online poker games (or playing it for real with friends) around. Adding more to do in the world of the west would be preferable to my mind.

why not? then you wont have to leave the-west to play another game. then you'd have 2 games in one!

i'd also like for both fast paced and slow paced games available. an idea would be to have specified lengths for turns, such as 2min, 5min, 15min, 1 hr, 12hrs, 24hrs, or 48hrs. 48hrs would be long, but that is a maximum requirement. if a player is on, they could take their turn in 2 min. but the 48hrs allows flexibility for players to not be on for a while. personally, i might prefer the 24hr one, cause it allows players to play no matter where in the world they are.

I like this idea.

I have to say that I haven't followed this thread from the beginning, so I'm not sure what's been mentioned yet. The only problem that I see is people using it to transfer cash from one player to another like they're doing with dueling at the moment. I don't like a cheat.

What would work if there was only one poker house somewhere on the map that you didn't have to travel to play. You'd just click on it and launch the app. That way you'd stay busy while doing jobs or what not and also find all the players in one place. Run the game tournament and sit and go style based on a certain buy in... like $200 to enter for x amount of chips.

When you're ready to leave you leave with the chips you have and eyes on the leader board. The first 20 takes cash prizes based on their ranking and the total buy in.

It's the only way I see you avoiding laundering :D

I think it's a fantastic idea. Pop into a saloon in a town and join a poker game.

I think this is a great idea. Very old West oriented, and a way to earn someone elses hard earned cash.

I would think it would be fun. It would seem that it would be the one area that is not tied to your stats.

I probably wouldn't be good enough to gamble without losing my hard earned money, but it even has a picture when you first get on the website of a man holding cards so you should be gamble, probably in the Saloon.

Well, nowadays, with no-limit Texas Hold'em, I'd have to disagree with this statement. No-limit Hold'em is more about bluffing than strategy. Limit Hold'em and Five Card Draw have more strategy to them though, so I'd like to see them implemented into the saloon, eventually. The house could get a 5-10% cut or it could provide jobs for the town instead (dealer, bouncer/pit boss, bartender/waitress, etc.). These jobs would only be available to the town's residents though. Upgrading the saloon could provide a larger variety of games, as previously mentioned. Maybe have 3 types of poker (hold'em, 5 card draw, 7 card stud), blackjack, roulette, craps (or some sort of western dice game), a wheel of fortune, etc. Sounds like a lot of work for the programmers, although it would give us something to do while we're waiting for our character to complete a job. You shouldn't have to actually be in the town to play though, otherwise it would take away from your work time.

Poker Games

I thnk that poker would add something to the game. It would give your character a chance to regain health in some way other than going to sleep or praying. Since poker is played in a saloon, if a player ran out of money, then they could trade or sell some of their items to another player if they wanted to stay in the game.

Don't bring trading into this. That's a big no in Innogame's book. They're considering implementing flash games though.

If you get cleaned out, just go to the nearest town and sell your spare junk for gamblin' money. No trading required.

P.S if u havent tried governer of poker u should its an awsome game :):)
