I'm scared to hear the answer to that myself. The search for brew goulash on w2 is killing me. You may make me have to start buying boxes there.

i couldn't find brew goulash on w4 so i skipped it with green dry meat recipe. i already have 550 recipe.
but i have in my inventory 525 master saddler recipe, can't remember where did i get it from.

The only recipes I have gotten from steel is level 450 and the $10K 600 ones. From wood and iron I have also gotten level 450.
We are talking 50+ steel after the new shop.

I just bought 2 steel boxes on W12 and I got Thomas Hart Benton's fine belt and Jim's torn pants, wow 2 named items. Thomas' belt gave me "Achievement 'Fine belt' gained.", bravo, clap clap.

P.S. There should be a law against getting items like those in steel boxes.

Why? I mean what do you expect, to get the best items every time? Steel line boxes specifically state that you will get a rare, precise, or fancy item. The term "RARE" could be used loosely, but honestly any named item has a lower chance of find than one you can buy so in this case makes it "RARE". It is always a gamble :), gamble for fun, not for profit :D.

I got Jim's pants several times while picking cotton, so yeah, I expect to get more from a box that's worth 175 bonds/nuggets. And that "gamble" you're talking about is not fun when people spend a lot of time collecting bonds, buy expensive box and only to get useless item, not to mention people who actually pay nuggets to buy those boxes. Items like those are crappy even for junk chests. And profit only goes in one direction here.

Your point is mute...as I have mentioned before, no one is making you purchase any item with your bonds or with your nuggets. It is your choice. As for what is in them, it is clear and known what may be and what may "NOT" be in the boxes. In fact the steel lined boxes actually have better drops than before the bond shop. And yes I reiterate that opening a box is nothing more than a gamble. If you don't like it spend your bonds/nuggets on a buff or some other items in which you will know exactly what you will get. (example: energy/health bonus, LP bonus, fort bonus items). I am sorry your expectations were not met...but I guess if we all got what we expected I would have 50 InnoGames Belts, a few sword of a thousand truths, 50 of each other named items...ect...

Well I guess it is a good thing I don't get what I expect huh? :p

Bob Builders overalls from Premium box ... Bah!!! I guess I should have learnt...

I kinda disagree with "it is clear and known"

Bob Builders overalls from Premium box ... Bah!!! I guess I should have learnt...

after the christmas fiasco (which was later on kinda sorted out)....i have decided not to open a premium or any boxes at all. i can still live with bob builders but not things like multiple instances of golden ass (one example) which are good for nothing except selling to the trader.

i will start opening boxes again, if a list of items obtainable from boxes is given....unlike the vague description which has currently been provided.

however....i think that the bob builder should not be there as common items like bob builder or bowies etc. were removed from the premium box. but then again i am not sure and there is no list of obtainable items from the boxes.

I don't see how it is not? Da Twista posted what to expect in this link:

http://forum.the-west.net/showthread.php?t=49678

You will always be able to twist and change how something is worded, but the premium box says it will have "Special or Rare items worth over $5,000".

Bob the Builders is a rare item and worth over $5,000. How can you not expect that?

Also I am using that statement as a point that everyone who buys a box at this point should understand and know the risk of what you are getting. If you feel it is not clear, then don't buy them :).

that is the post i am referring too :)

oh well....as i said it before in my earlier post and you still had to say "don't buy them"....i'll say it again, that i havn't opened a single box after christmas :)

and....yes, bob builder is rare and so is belle star along with numerous other items :)

also....we are talking about the premium chest for which the 'description' states "This chest contains only the best items in the game. None of the items can be bought in the normal in-game shops and the reason why this is the most expensive chest."

what you are quoting is meant for the fancy chest and not the premium chest....and that is one of the few chests which can be held to its fair description of containing all items above $5000 (not just special or rare). i do not twist and change how something is worded :)

All that i am saying is that BE CLEAR AND PRECISE. Do not leave people guessing and thinking, hence making it unpleasant for yourself and your 'buyers'....sure it gambling, but when you goto a casino you are able to see the roulette wheel and bet accordingly. imagine you betting on double ZERO thinking that its an american wheel and in reality its a european wheel.

EDIT : guess the in game description of the premium chest has changed again and that is what you are speaking about :)

Then think of it as a lottery :). You buy something and you don't know exactly what you are going to get...but still there is a pretty clear idea now of what to expect...I again stand by the fact that no one has to buy anything :). I have yet to understand why everyone expects that they receive the best every time or else it is unfair. This is why it is a game :).

I agree with you; but don't you think lotteries are more reasonable in terms of price :)

Like you said "why everyone expects that they receive the best every time"....i'll second that and a i mentioned it in my post "i can still live with the bob builders"....hence, you can't have it all lol....you win some and you loose some :)

but at least you should know what all you 'can' get. even why you buy a lottery ticket....you know EXACTLY what the prize is and what you are betting on :)

it is a game....and thats why i accept the fact that the worlds where i do not intend to collect is where i got almost everything good and where i want to collect is where i fared rather badly with the boxes lol.

I guess in the end, that is why you have UPBs to pay for the shop items...all in game regardless of how long it takes. I still feel that the understanding of what kind of "Gamble" you partake in is clear. You don't know what you will get, you only have a slight idea based on who have opened chests before. That is clear. Choose to either buy them or buy something else or buy nothing at all :).

Steel chest, not fro UPB shop though, got it from 'The Circus' quest.

Got a stupid recipe for Gent's dinner :( oh well, better luck next time :)

YEP just bought a premium chest and guess what.....another disgruntled player got Bob the Builder pants. C'mon guys take this crap outta the most expensive premium boxes. I don't expect a golden axe but I do expect something better than a lvl 38 (rare or not)pair of pants for 1500 nuggets or bonds

Save me reading through all this again, I'm sure I read before that in the "bag with rare product" you can find key 2 or 3, is this right?
