No, don't destroy it. Just as Canon said its a dead end quest, and the actual sword is much more fun to keep.

To get Hernando's sword you have to:
1. Do the hokey pokey while rubbing your tummy and jumping on one leg.
2. Then, smack yourself in the head with a spade and run around your neighborhood shouting "IT'S COMING!!! IT'S COMING!!".
3. Watch cops between 10:30-11:00 ST time on any day that ends in y.
4. You will now have a quest from Wuapee, with the reward of hernando's. (Note: You have to be sweaty)
