Calls for Obama's Resignation

Which policies are we talking about specifically? I need something more to work with than anecdotes.

I don't really think approval ratings are that important since the public seems to change opinions with almost every decision a president makes. On lists of the highest approval ratings and lowest approval ratings on record, both Bushes and Truman are on both lists. I believe that Kennedy is the only president whose rating never went below 50%, but that may have changed if he'd lived longer.

Exactly how can Obama be judged at such an early time is beyond me. There are times when I have said a president is nuts for a certain course of action and was proven wrong over time. There was times when I said a president is nuts for a certain course of action and was proven right over time.

Key words being 'over time'. Its one thing if he is breaking law, but to my knowledge that hasnt happened.

Who exactly is calling for his resignation anyways? Or was this thread just made to ask about it?

Other than a few people on here, Ted Rall is the only one I've heard of.

Hmmm, who would be VP? That is a hard one. Off the top of my head I can think of Artemis, Violette, John Rose, David Crockett, Jack Beauregard, George Hurst and Evil Monkey. So many possibilities.

I think I would want to live wherever you are president.

Can you be vice president without being born in the US?
Then again I was born in a country that doesn't exist, so if the rule was "must not been born in another country than the US" (instead of "must be born in the US"), I wouldn't exactly violate it.

I'd make an exception for you too, Denisero.
Anyone who has enough charisma to set herself up as a virtual goddess, and get away with it,
is certainly high enough quality to run for vice president.

to quote LBJ "the vice presidency isn't worth a bucket of warm spit"
(US Constitution Article II)
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

One thereby assumes that any non natural born citizen may not hold any office that is in direct line of succession to the Presidency

Supposing you had an English person (let's say male), who was born and completed primary school in England,
but moved to America and completed secondary school and university with all the appropiate bachelor, master, and doctorate degrees?
Would he be allowed to run for president?

Alright, the law says no.
BUT, do you think that the law could reasonably be waived in this sort of case?

No the law can not be waved in this sort of case. That just opens up a Pandora's box. You will never see that happen.

Nuclear weaponary will never go away.

Just because your president of a ig big country with a big big army.. Doesn't mean you can take away other countries Nuclear toys.

Thats just mean Barrack!

Obama actually, when negotiating with Putin, offered to surrender a fourth or third of our nation's nukes, and Russia didn't give us anything.
