Got an early town invite, which was nice for acquiring a donkey to speed up travel and advance a quest - I solicited the request... big mistake...

Was invited, joined the town, bought my donkey and donated what I had left over to the town. No sooner had my cash dropped to 0 I was kicked from the town. Here is the following exchange of telegrams:

right now we have quite the waiting list.

Personally the best way to secure a spot is to deposit money into the town.

We are rotating people in and the people who deposit money are guaranteed a spot in town.

So you can move to our town and write me asking for an invite then deposit. money which would secure your spot.

those who donate more get priority on the permanent spots.

right we will have the last 5 spots according to donations as the rotation spots. which mean your still a town member but you might be moved out temporarily.

so if we have a 15 member cap then the top 10 depositors will not be rotated unless they want to(such as Wuden and Badazluke). the rest will be subject to the rotation.

This should help light a fire under some butts.

AGAIN ONCE YOU Deposti to this town you will always get an invite should you want to buy/sell ect.

hopefully once we have a solid 20 members they will be Sort of council members where votes and such will take place.

Any objections we're open to discuss. if you guys want to just go with who we have then we can do that to. But I'd love to stay a top 15 town .

My thought is that this is a shady scam they are running to get some quick money early in the game - no such 'policy' was sent with the invite. Any other views?

Nope. That has been policy with MANY towns actually. It's quite profitable for the town and it it allows "outsiders" to get expensive items cheaper.

That's normal. IF they didn't tell you that you would be kicked shortly after, that could be on them but as I said, it's been the norm to do that. You got what you wanted didn't you?

A lot of top towns use the rotation method to build up quickly, usually you're made aware of it up front though. Or at least that's what I'd assume...

I can understand the policy being prudent, of course. It speaks volumes to the disorganization of the town founders that they don't notify anyone of their policies... at least not until after I asked them what was up.

I suppose the ASSumption is that we've all got W1/2/3 accounts and can read minds. My bad.

I do agree that they should have told you the scoop before, but maybe they ASSumed everyone knew that strategy. You know now dontcha? :)

me and my town memebers have built a bit of a raport and i think knowing your not bout to get kicked is a good incentive, im quite happy to donate and work whenever possible whereas if i was in that kinda town i wouldnt wanna help!

This is not a Scam. Many Towns all around the World is doing this technique. Even Talamare is doing it, hmmm Talamare.

You should probably ask before joining them.

You and Dark are intended to be rotated when we have more potential members waiting to join and/or join the rotation

Ok this is my town I have 15 people that have deposited money and so have earned membership to the town.

We are using the rotation Until we get residence 4.

Once you have deposited you will always get an invite should you need into the town.

I have not asked one person to join our town Everyone has writen to me asking to join.

In Fact if you check you have an invite right now for your turn in the rotation.

That policy you quoted in your first post is what I send to all people that ask to be invited to our town.

I'm sorry if you feel like I ripped you off and Maybe You slipped through and didn't get that explanation in the beginning.

I have another 30 people that want in but its getting too crazy with rotating.

If I could pay you back your deposit to make you feel better I would.

I myself Am sitting out of the rotation most of the time since i'm not a builder.

I don't know what to say.
