Ya know, when John does it, it's funny. When you do it, it seems pathetic.

Again, kids. Sometimes Conservatives need to dumb things down so they can understand them better.

This nonsensical comic strip shows us how their childish minds work.

Well this idea sure beats our VAT cut. Yay.. I save a few pence on a computer game.. That's really going to help me through the credit crunch :S

And its cost the Government a few billion pounds.

Ah, the old right wing verbiage about everyone who doesn’t support unrestrained Nozick, Hayeck or Friedmanite capitalism must be “socialists”. Hence the dig that Obama must be socialist. There is a huge gulf between the parliamentary road to socialism (social democracy) and other types of more revolutionary socialism (see an earlier posters comments above).

That is the equivalent of me (someone who does want to see the back of capitalism) accusing the Republicans in the States and the Conservatives in the UK of being “fascist”.

Methinks that it is a redundant argument.

Viva Trotsky….

I worked in a shop which did all the prices manually in the UK, I think that VAT cut almost killed me.

I was being a tad ironic, although Trotsky wrote some brilliant books (although I confess I have read little politics in the last 15 years). I would consider myself to be more of a Parker Knoll reclining Anarcho-Syndicalist (please bear in mind that my tongue is lodged firmly in my cheek). Please bear in mind also that Ho Chi Minh was more of a nationalist than a socialist, whereas Castro was a bit of an enigma (great beard though - and boy could he shoot hoops!). Libertarian free marketeers? Deluded. Capitialism is a nice idea, but it never works in practise (teehee)...

Viva Chomsky

i dont have to look any further than my home state of California .

I do belive you should look beyond your own borders.
That way you might understand that the horrors of socialism are
as horrible as women suffrage.

Free healthcare is such a complete horror!
Not to mention all the welfare that would come your way if you were unlucky enough to loose your job, or become unable to work!

Can't get jobs because they are working?
What does that even mean?
Sounds to me like they already HAVE jobs.

i really dont understand it that well either. if you dont have a job you have to work somewhere for a minimalist wage in Sweden. The best way to explain it would be working unemployed.

I don't know how they do it in sweden, since I live in Norway, but having to do something in return for unemployment money seems all ok to me.

Read the two links I posted. Until then, be silent.
