I was 5 wins away from next part and lost one duel in Easter showdown.
After that it jumped to 48 to next reward.
(I had a few wins after that and now it's in 42)

Is this a bug or does it really go this way?

It means your winning streak got reset to 0 after losing a duel.

Winning streak I understand but now I have to win over 40 duels to get next reward.

personally, the percentages felt a bit too skewed away from the more valuable set(s) and pieces but otherwise it was decent.
