Simple question... where are you planning on setting up your Town (if you are planning on so doing)? And since there is no 'official' code for defining area's on the map, then I suggest the TW system of Continents from K1 to K40.

I myself am going to head out West and setup somewhere near the centre or 'core', ie. K15, 16, 25 or 26

Plan Your Setup Carefully, Find a Good Strategic Spot with lots of Good Work around ;)

But new work appears as you progress through the game (as previously discussed), so I've decided that positioning is technically irrelevant :D

Although I did read a suggestion that stated nearer to a ghost village would be more advantageous as new players would be more likely to find, and therefore join your Town.

Yes, That is another Wise Choice, But not on the Edges, Stick to the Center.

I'm not planning to make a town of my own. It'd be boring if everyone made their own town :p

True, but everyone has their dream of making the best town. Same as tribe leaders in TW.

But unlike others, mine will be the best :p However for that I'll need some slaves, er I mean citizens ;) *hint, hint*

Would merging even be possible on here?

There will be an update eventually whereby Towns will be able to attack each other, however not sure if you conquer that Town or just a percentage of its gold upon victory.

They could make it so you get x% of their gold income goes to your town until the defender is able to fight off the attackers.

Although if a powerful Town went and did this to all those around them, how could the minor parties ever hope to break free again? And what if >1 Town did this to you?

My question is, how big can a town be, and does your town help you in battles at all?

Since you can't duel without one, I would say yes, it helps.

Thats where you could get the help of your "allies" If they make it so Allies can help free your city then it shouldn't be a problem, Unless you have no allies then your screwed, also if the base the x% on say the size/time playing like they do on Tribalwars with morale, So you get more % on bigger towns and less % on smaller towns.

Well if you want to compare it to Tribalwars... the most top Tribes can easily pwn off families of sometimes double or even greater sizes out of a sheer advantage in skill and experience.

This would be a different concept though, if you can only have one town compared to the hundreads you can have on TW
