I haven't played this for a long time so don't blame me for this question:
What do I gain by praying on the church?

indeed, church is mysterious.

You can test different options, maybe you can find some coinsidence :)
* pray all days
* pray Sunday only
* pray naked/without hat/weapon/with talisman/without horse/etc
* pray after each work/or two
* pray before and after sleep
* pray after you duel/hit worker :)
...

if you pray 666 times you get the grim reaper scythe 130 - 145 damage

Hes lying mate, you get the bishops staff, 35-70 damage

The scythe is from KO'ing 10 people in a single fort battle... duhhh :huh:

shes you get them both from praaying - you also win duels vs hard duelers if you carry no weapon - And you dont even need any dodging - one hit - 1 no hits 0 grimhunter wins the duel. he gains 420 exp and gets $709

So far the praying has no effect on the game. Except one - ppl keep asking what it does. :D

The church has the same use as the real life church.

Only it's not created by people who want to control massive chunks of the human population, but by game developers instead.

The church does do something...this much has been positively determined as the developers have said so many times. Many theories exist as to what it does, but a definite answer has never been given.

Moving to questions and guides as it isn't world specific.

Try praying before a Job or construction could help you alot buddy

confessing your sins brings great rewards xD

I can safely say the church is completely useless. I have never prayed with my soldier and I am better than most people at dueling. Since April I have lost 8 duels and won almost 400.

Now with my fort fighter I don't pray again and I am ranked #23 on W12 based on fort points. I have never lost an attack and the defenses I failed at, I was part of the last men standing.

So if you ask me the "church does something" is a load of crap.

b00k, there is a rumor that church helps only ppl who didn't do a duel at all. that'd be workers generally... and IIRC you've never played as worker.
so... sorry, seems that god in this game doesn't like you, hehe :p
