The problem in short form is, this forum has a character limit which presumably counts every character, including but not limited to:
the alphabet, numbers, brackets, punctuation like full stops and exclamation marks (did I spell punctuation correctly?), ALT code characters, and et-cetera.
Therefore, if you post a word or number, or in your case string of smilies that goes on too long, a break will automatically be put in some characters in.
For example: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!
I believe that the character cap is 50 exactly.
