The Saturnalia - a festival full of wine and informality.
The Roman Saturnalia traditionally took place on December 17. They were a boisterous occasion that was initially extended from one to two and later even to ten days


Anchient Roman festival in honour of the god Saturn, held on 17 December of the Julian calendar and later expanded with festivities through to 23 December.
