1337 religion-In depth study

DeletedUser8950

For years now, noobs have worshipped one soul god-1337, or sometimes, 7331. This is the word "leet" (who knows what it is meant to mean) in a noobed-up form of hacker speak.

So, why did they pick 1337?

Nobody knows, but they make churches for it in forum threads and use their avatars and signatures to create altars and shrines. They violently try to convert others to follow the 1337, saying things such as "0mg u/n00b-..s.l0ll0l0l0l0l 1337 wi11 pr3v4i1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111111111111111111111oooneoenoenoeneoenoeneno LOL"

All we know is they (rather stupidly) have complete and utter devotion in 1337.

What proof do they have of 1337's power/s/?

Noobs are, as always, ignorant idiots, without reason. Thus they have no proof, and if you asked you would probably recieve a page full of abusie in Noobish, to some extent, glorifying 1337.
1337 has no power, so do not fear, you will not slowly wither away and die for challenging it's "4u7hori74h!"

What can we do to stop these idiotic ramblings?

As of yet, there is no way to stop this. As with all things, noobs will refuse to listen to any sort of logic or reason, especially regarding their god. So, that's one option out of it. Locking all threads and deleting all posts referring to 1337 will result in an uprising of noobs, meaning you will have to ban at least half of your forum to stop these riots. Insulting 1337 will anger noobs and end up in them trying to insult you back. So, as of yet, the only option is to ignore the noob worshipers and leave them to go about this pathetic worship.

Can you show me a 1337 worshiper?

Typical 1337 worshiper going about his daily buisness (these noobs truly are a disgrace to human kind)

Fascinating. Hopfully researchers will find a way to prevent these gatherings.

The actual meaning of 1337 is a computer programming... program...

It origionally made software and gaming compatable programs and kept old model computers updated with entertainment. 1337 was eventually surpassed by Java, which is now being surpassed by something else. n00bs origionally were just computer nerds, really good computer nerds, who did many different things, just in the name of the Program 1337, they were pre-LEET individuals who surpassed nerd standards and were great at gaming.

Eventually, a newer flock of younger nerds came to try and heard the 1337 sheepskape, sadly, these new, "modernized" nerds failed to surpass the programming so many of the older generation nerds decided to leave. The older generation nerds created new pastures, and some even became computer programmers, but the new pastures were left unnamed, these old nerds served as "Regulators" to try and keep the new nerds from ruining the name of 1337 and the n00b community. Sadly, the Regulators failed and the new nerds overtook the n00b community. The older generation nerds looked actually nerdy, fat, glasses, dweebish, but these new nerds looked like everyday geeks and above. They eventually became a minor vermin in the internet community instead of a dangerous group of e1337tes. (EleetS).

These noobs eventually lost all forms of proper gaming and sucked so bad they couldn't verify proper targets, thus TKing or missing. They also lost all forms of creativity and Phailed at most tasks. The noobs eventually ruined the n00b name and destroyed 1337 with their "leet" propaganda.

Noobs now are a major online game pest, as they are only surpassed by hackers, and sore winners (People who cuss you out even though they won).

That is an uber speech! (I can read it ;))

1337 (or leet) somes from slang for elite which was for the elite members of the gaming communities who just said lite (leet) which they then shortened to 1337. nowadays many people use leetspeak (13375p3/-\|<) inadvertantly things such as lol, noob, rofl, lmao, wtf etc.

in short, its internet slang

I see you skipped the history lessons, 1337 is classified by pop culture as internet speek, when it was originally a PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE SYSTEM!

Yes its true, don't ask how I know.

We must show unto them the infinite layers of wisdom of the onion. Only then can the n00bs be saved.

DeletedUser

are you suggesting we should make them cry... WITH ONIONS!!!

sneaky...

DeletedUser

I know it is a radical idea, but with the power of the onion they will see the error of their ways. They shall cast aside their crappy shirts and learn how type with out seizures. Perhaps one day they may even be able to make a single coherent thought.

DeletedUser

Yes, this is genius! We must recruit missionaries to be sent into a noob-infested forum to bring them to the wisdom of the Onion.

DeletedUser

onward crusaders, TO THE EA FORUMS!!! there can be found endless fields with these dozy noobs peacefully resting, there we strike. careful or the abusive mod though, he'll ban you for sniffling if you look him the wrong way.

Please don't write too much like this Nashy, it took me 2 minutes to read a sentence I could normally read in a few seconds.....And I honestly don't believe there is anybody that couldn't understand it if they tried (well, assuming they can read English anyway). Not exactly a very secretive code, and it must be even more annoying to type than to read.

If we are going to teach missionaries to deal with noobs we'll have to learn some leet ourselves.

Yes it is extremely annoying to write but we have faith, lots and lots of faith.

By not seeing the light these noobs are effectively condemning themselves to the torment of the online image-boards and worse, we have to show them the truth.

Onward onion soldiers, marching as to war
With the layers of wisdom, going on before
Onion our master, leads against the noobs
Forward into battle, bring light to those rubes

What are you talking about? It originated from the term, elite, which in the ol' modem BBS days generally referred to elite access. I.e., if you had elite access, you could access the hidden sections (software downloads, etc) of certain BBS boards, and/or be allowed to access the higher-end modems. And yes, I used to run one of those boards so i think I know what i'm talking about here.
