yep. Can't say what the female characters need, but that's all the male characters need.

Pretty nice reward for such a small price.

Please use Necklace of endearment for Valentine's Day quest discussion. Duduie posted the female reqs: ham and sugar. I'm guessing the ham quest is another quest called "The way to a man's heart".

Nope. I'll post the names in the necklace thread

Yeah, I shouldn't have asked and encouraged further discussion in this thread, lol. If I care enough, I'll look it up on West Stats. ;)

My biggest problem with the new quests is that it's so far from my towns (5+ hours in one world and 11+ in the other) and you either have to go to your town to deposit money and then return to the Ghost Town or just hope you don't get challenged to a duel or knocked out some other way while you finish the rest of the quest line.

The travelling sucks yes but it is a good thing when it comes to the medals you gain from travelling. I won't normally travel just to get the medals but this way it helps to hit two birds with one stone.

Just to clarify - because for me, at least, it wasn't completely clear earlier in this thread:

I can't accept the It's easier to talk without weapons quest until I have completed the Searched and found part - correct? I've learned from earlier quests that you can't always rely on WestStats for the correct order in which the quests should be done, especially when two of them appear on the map at the same time.

I am guessing that the Clothes make the man part comes after these.
(If a PM is preferable to a post in order to prevent spoilers, that is fine.)

And don't underestimate the ability of this game to throw you a curveball - so far I've worked at scaring birds for 4 hours in one world - and still no feather! And in both my other worlds, it only took a single 30-minute try to get multiple feathers.

You can do Clothes make the man anytime after completing Casino Banale.

This part doesn't show for me. I've tried no clothes and various combinations of clothes. Any hints?

Let me find the quest that has the hints...

It's the epilogue of "Palaver".

The ghost town (Palaver)

The bandits tell you about their different activities in the region, especially about their casino in the ghost town. But it is very well hidden and the casino employees have strict orders to hide from anyone who appears in the casino without the correct clothing. After a few inquiries, you find out that the visitors are recognized by their elegant jacket, the sombrero and an old chain that probably has an Aztec origin.

Call me stupid, but I can't figure out what to wear in the follow-up quest to "Palaver". I get the sombrero, which is obvious, the jacket is probably the fancy one, although I could be wrong, but I don't understand which chain I have to wear. If anyone can send me a pm with the items I need, I'd be very grateful. :indian:

Does anyone know if there is a minimum level for doing the Heavy Labor quests?

Another decision

The railroad quest brings to us another decision: go with Maya or with Waupee. I made the mistake of going with the strumpet last time and it cost me the H-sword (I now have two notes #1). No doubt there will be consequences for a decision on this one. Maya wants us to ambush (steal from people) whereas the noble Waupee wants us to chase bandits (provide justice to people who have stolen, plus it is the more difficult job); virtue and hard work pay off with double dividends.

There is also another decision to be made on the Ghost town quest. We acquire a great necklace early in the quest only to be tempted with a rotten carrot to finish off the quest. Beginning a quest more than a year into the game, most players are well beyond the point where $75 provides motivation or impetus to dig graves for 6 hours AND build coffins for six hours. I am certainly inclined to go spend a 12 hours robbing a train or ambushing a stagecoach. The quest reads: You think that there is no way that you can just leave the bodies of the three bandits here. You decide to give them a proper burial. $75 huh? There must be catch. If it was only 75 dollars attached the quest, no one should do it. There must be more.

Perhaps the groundwork for the two keys is being put into place. Or could it be for the stone necklace and talisman? Choose carefully.
