I used to think that I would make a bad moderator, because I'm completely insane and such.
But now, I am becoming increasing convinced that people like myself are the only hope for off-topic.

Don't mind me, I'm just musing.

Actually, threads like most of them in Off-Topic are a big part of the reason why good mods burn out so quickly.

Perhaps we need to hold mod trials to see who'd make a good mod?
Then we could give that person certain forum powers, to indicate who are problem forumgoers.

You wouldn't like me to be a mod. I did it for a few years for Simutronics and I was accused of being a direct descendant of Hitler. :p

I was thinking it could be a super rep given under special conditions,
such as someone finishing a stint as trial moderator for the off-topic forum.
