I'm getting ready to finish my worker's quest, but since we don't have the build fort job anymore, what should I do? Does the construct manor take the place of that in the quest? Or do I have to build a fort?

Yes, the Construct a Manor replaces the Build a Fort quest in name and job icon only. Same same otherwise.
EDIT: Though upon further reflection, not sure how it will affect the quest. West Stats has changed it in the Job Calculator, but not in the Quest pages. Guess the update didn't change the quest itself? Did you have the quest before the update or did you acquire it after?

Its the same job and will work to finish the quest. Weststats is just a tool to use for the game and is separate from the game.

Right but sounded like his quest text asked him to "Build a Fort".

They may not have fixed the text for the quest. It is the same job. The code linking that job to that quest hasn't changed, just the name of the job.
