Like tribal Wars, it will be interesting if you can be able to attack another village, using your villagers and weapons, you can also put construction to a defense to your village(wall, gate ect.).

towns did not really pillage other towns in the west they mostly held grudges or shot each other up at a duel
there is going to be a town shootout factor in the game but you wont be able to build agate as this is not the middle ages!

I agree with you. But, remember this is not TW, this is The-West. This is a great idea, but someone already posted the same idea.

How many towns in westerns have you seen with a wall? Maybe a few forts in 'indian territory' and those were generally military forts, not towns. It doesn't really fit the genre. No catapults either.
