No, you cannot. When you sell your items to a shop, they are removed from the game.
Any items that are shown in the shops are the results of the basic items for a building. You can only buy those, and in any town.

Here are my answers:
1.) Yes, there is a way you can get an item or product that your friend have.
You can gain an item or product, by doing some Quests, or Jobs. Either way, you will receive some reward, an item, or a product if you are successful doing a job.
2.) No, trading between player to player is not yet been approved.
Hopefully in the future, Trading between players will be approved. But, since the game is still in BETA, we might have a big chance that this will be approved. But right now, you can't trade with any players.
3.) No, you can't buy his item in the General Store.
If a player sell an item to a General Store, Tailor, or Gunsmith, the item or product that he sold will be gone from the game. It will no longer be in the Shop.
