The Arena

Ok people. I decided to do something very weird here. Something people may not have tried before. Here as usual is the story line. By the way, only do this if you have a lot of spare time on your hands.

Beijing, January 2015

The motorbike tore through the streets. The man riding it was Agent Smith (MI6) and he was attempting to save the world. "Strike Squad! Come in! This is Agent! Do you copy me!" He shouted down his radio as a police car tore onto the street after him. The chase was on. He began to weave through the traffic with more and more police cars appearing. Suddenly his radio came alive "This is Strike Squad, We copy you loud and clear Agent! What should we do?" he said, and then gunfire came from somewhere and he swore. The Agent swore too. If this carried on China would succeed and the world would fall.

Now, some of you are probably beginning to wonder what is going on. So let me take you back to September 2014, In a small lab not far from Beijing.

"To our success!" the scientists said and clinked their wine glasses and drunk. "Well I'm glad it's finally over" one scientist said to another "I was beginning to get bored of constantly testing chemicals and creating new ones. And I'm a chemist!"

They are celebrating the finishing of a plan they have been working on for a long time. A Biological warhead that when fired will disable all nuclear missiles on Earth. They also found the neutralisation chemical which will be inserted into their missiles leaving China with the possibility to destroy the whole world and stay standing. They would be able to take all the other countries with ease. You see, the Chinese leader (now Ying Shong Chau) does not wish to rule China alone, only the world will be enough. Of course their plans did not go unnoticed. Several secret services have heard rumours and dispatched their own sources to investigate. Now the British and Americans have combined and discovered the true threat. Too late to warn the rest of the world, Agent Smith and his companions have set off on a last ditch attempt to storm the launch site and self destruct the missile, rendering it harmless. And so, back to the main story.

"Agent to Strike Squad! Launch the attack! I'll go in through a different route when I arrive!" and he received confirmation from the Squad and he took a left heading up onto the motor ramp. He flew down it and then saw the police cars. They rolled down the windows and pulled out Uzi's aiming for his tyres. He in return pulled out his own Desert eagle and fired a couple of shots. One hitting a police car tyre, the car flipped and flew off the motor ramp. Agent Smith smiled, finally something going his way. He then saw his exit and took it. He drove down and carried on. He reached the place and pulled all the brakes. The bike skidded to a stop. As the police cars caught up he dismounted and ran. He drew his pistol and aimed back and fired as he ran. Not seeing if he hit but it was obvious he had from the screams in Chinese. "Get him!" one screamed as he ran through a door. He tried the handle on a door of the exterior of the building. Locked, as he had expected. He stuck and blob of C4 to it and then pulled himself over the wall. He ran off just as the police turned the corner. The police man swore in Chinese half a second before he was blown to pieces as Smith detonated the C4. He ran back through and into the building.

Meanwhile Ying Shong Chau was sitting in his office at the centre of the building, smiling. His guards had their rifles aimed at the door. Ready for the next person to open the door and be shot. "Sir" came a voice from behind him and Ying Shong Chau turned to see his chief technician "Two minutes until the missile is ready for launch Sir." he reported.
"Good, Good" Ying murmured. Finally, after what had taken several years planning all was coming to fruit. He would finally assume his rightful place as emperor of the world.

The strike squad broke through the main doors with relative ease. But inside they had suffered casualties. Two of their seven had died and one other hit through the shoulder, limiting him to his pistol only. They were running out of ammo fast. The problem was not the skill of his troops but the numbers. For every one they shot it seemed that two would replace the one before. Slowly but surely though they were breaking through, moral on the other side was low as well. Suddenly the injured man was killed, a bullet in the brain. Angry, they charged together. They were mown down seconds after leaving cover.

Agent Smith was encountering almost no resistance. He had found a hidden passage that the emperor-to-be did not know about. Smith hadn't either, he had just stumbled upon it by accident but had recognised it's value. He arrived and saw he was directly above the room the emperor was in. He kicked it in and dropped out the ceiling. Surprising the guards he shot all three of them in seconds. He then karate chopped the technician before he could summon help but didn't see the emperor raise a tazor behind his back and fire. Smith collapsed to the floor in agony. Ying grabbed his gun and shot Smith in the head. Then checking the counter he saw that it was ready. He hit the button and the doors opened. The speakers came to life
and he heard "Launch in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." and the rocket blasted out the hangar. Ying smiled, all was going to plan.

And to cut a long story short. It worked. Ying took control of the world, he spent his first two years crushing rebellions. But I am not here to tell you that story. I am here to tell you about the one sport he then made the world sport. It had a name and that name was "The Arena". It was a place like the gladiatorial shows of old and Ying made it so that it was almost exactly like the Roman shows. There was to be no ranged which meant no guns. The local ruler of the county would preside over the shows and be the judge of if someone lived or died. There were special fights and more but I could go on forever about The Arena. The rules are so complex that there are two rule books. The full rulebook and the simplified version. People only use the first in rare cases, Usually only at the top level. The best of the best get to go to China and perform in-front of the emperor. The last thing I will say for now is that after a while teams were formed. Some of the fighters came together to form teams. These teams usually consist of four or five and then alliances are formed between teams. These alliances will be ruled by one team which is ruled by one player These alliances and teams never fight, in draws it is made sure that they don't. I will tell more about The Arena as this continues.

And now down to business.

You are a fighter in The Arena. It doesn't matter how old you are etc. Anyone will be accepted as long as they aren't a criminal. Also note that if someone is already head of a team you can't create your character in the same position as them. Anyway, you will be good enough to be taken to the emperor. It doesn't matter if you've been there for a while or for a short time. And without further ado, here is the character sheet (note there is no equipment section. That is because all teams have armourers, about two per team, and so their weaponry changes per battle. You are allowed two different weapons in battle.)

Name:

Arena Name (What the crowd will know you as):

Gender:

Age:

Team:

Rank in team:

Alliance:

Bio:

At the top there are two alliances. There is "Death Bringers" and there is "Skull Crackers"
They are named after the teams that rule them. When you join I will talk to you about which alliance you want to be in and so can we leave that blank for now. And here are my characters since I will be using two.

Name: Ben Andrews

Arena Name: Zemelci (now can be translated as Unseen Death in Chinese, the world language.)

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Appearance: 6,2. Agile, His body is scarred from previous fights. Black, cropped hair and black eyes. He has a scar that runs down the right side of his neck from his first ever fight. He has wild, dirty hair and his beard is shaved off regularly though, to avoid it catching on something in a fight.

Team: Death Bringers

Rank in team: Head

Alliance: Death Bringers

Bio: Born and raised in England, Ben had a nice childhood until one day his parents were brutally murdered. To avoid being sent to a workhouse (used for orphans and criminals) he ran away, and joined The Arena. Having been trained in self-defence from a young age he excelled but in his first match he grew cocky and his opponent sliced the right side of his neck open winning the match. Ben's life was spared and he was rushed off to the medics who managed to save his life but he now has a permanent scar there, reminding him the cost of his foolishness. He advanced rapidly mastering all the weapons there were to offer. He had a great understanding of tactics and which weapon was best to beat which weapon. By the age of seventeen he had founded his own team and was now going to take it to Beijing. He joined Death Bringers (at the time called a different name) and took his team to second in command until the leader of the other team was killed in a fight, leaving Ben as his successor. He has carried to fight forever since although he still awaits revenge on "Mace-man" the leader of "Skull Crackers" who killed his friend.

Character number two.

Name:James Walters

Arena Name (What the crowd will know you as): Mace-man

Gender: Male

Age: 36

Team: Skull Crackers

Rank in team: Head

Alliance: Skull Crackers

Bio: Not much is known about James Walters. He joined The Arena at the age of 23, and rose to power through his strength with a Mace, earning him his arena name. He founded the team Skull Crackers. Their principle is that their equipment for every match is a Mace and Ball&Chain (The alliance do not have those rules however). He is the one who killed Ben's friend leaving Ben in charge of "Death Bringers", their hatred of each other is legendary yet they have never faced in battle. Fate has been kind that way.

Well then, what do you think?

Name: Cindy Sinz
Arena Name: "The School Girl"
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Appearance: 5'6" with short golden blonde hair and pale blue eyes, wears a black velvet eye patch over her right eye. Whilst in the arena she wears a variety of outfits including that of a school girl (hence the nickname), although theses are more for show than for any form of protection.
Team: White Dragons
Rank in team: Leader
Alliance: Death Bringers
Bio: A freelance gladiator at the age of 17 Cindy rapidly scaled the rankings of the local competitions leaving a wake of maimed and butchered bodies as she went gaining notoriety for her brutal and often spectacular dispatch of her opponents.
Yet despite what is said on her Facebook page and various fan sites little is known about her life before the arena, of course there is much speculation about her true identity such as the rumour that she is in fact a Swedish girl by the name of Mathilda who had been committed to an asylum after brutally murdering a school bully or that she’s the disgraced Norwegian gymnast Ingrid who had been arrested for her involvement in an armed robbery several years ago. However none the rumours have yet to be substantiated and nobody has ever come forward to confirm or deny the allegations and as for Cindy?...well she’s keeping quiet and nobody is brave enough to push the issue of her past.
-----------------------------------------------------------

“I am not doing it” the girl spoke sullenly; her slender arms crossed across the school blouse, the uniform making her appear much younger than she really was. They were in the “Dressing room” of local arena in down town Munich although it could have been any city really; these local arena’s all looked the same when you got down to it, only the accents changed.
“You have to go out you’re contracted for this fight” her manager explained patiently, using the same tone of voice he used when telling his ten year old daughter that she had to go to school although admittedly his daughter was no way near as unhinged as his client was “I don’t care, I am not doing it….its boring…they all die too easily” he had to admit she was right but there was no way in hell that he would tell her that, she was already difficult enough to control as it was “Cindy….if you don’t do it then I’ll be forced to tell people who you really are” the girls eyes narrowed as she glared at him, it was a dangerous card to play, even with the security staff in the room she was still capable of killing him if the desire took her but he had no other choices available “Fine….I’ll do it….but I won’t enjoy it” she replied through gritted teeth before storming up the entrance ramp, snatching the Katana from the terrified armourer as she went, the entire room let out a sigh of relief when the big steel door slammed shut behind her.

The crowd roared in a frenzy of excitement and bloodlust as Cindy walked out onto the sawdust covered arena floor, a group of men holding a banner began to chant her name drowning out the announcer as he introduced her through heavily distorted speakers, fighting to be heard. Resting the tip of her sword upon the sword Cindy watched as her two opponents the Woropay brothers entered the arena both were big bearded men out of the Urals and were top of their local league. One of the brothers made a lewd gesture at Cindy with a smile on his stupid round face, his brother laughing loudly in agreement, Cindy merely rolled her one blue eye in response.
“Ladies and Gentlemen let us begin tonight’s spectacle...” the announcer called bringing the frenzy of the crowd down to a dull roar, the Woropay’s tensing as they awaited for the signal to fight, Cindy meanwhile remained where she stood, a bored, disinterested look on her face “…Contestants ready?...then lets get ready to rumble!” the Woropays charged across the sawdust covered floor towards the still motionless Cindy, her supporters watching in bafflement as their hero refused to move. The first of the brothers raised his sledgehammer hoping to crush her skull with a single blow like he’d done so many times before, it was at that instant that Cindy decided to move.
Side stepping the clumsy blow Cindy quickly delivered a downward slash of her katana into back of the brother’s knee severing the limb, before whipping the blade round to sever his head killing him before he had even time to hit the floor. The second brother checked his charge at the sight of his brothers swift demise, gripping the handle of the wood axe tightly in his large beefy hands he watched as Cindy ran towards him.
He swung the axe in wide sweeping arc only to watch amazed as Cindy dropped to her knee’s, sliding beneath his blow to drive her katana through his chest killing him almost instantly.
The crowd sat in stunned silence as Cindy idly tossed the blood drenched sword across the floor before storming off towards her dressing room, the fight had lasted all of two minutes and the fans weren’t happy and soon the entire arena would be engulfed in rioting fans.
Cindy meanwhile would be driven away in an armoured car headed for a plane to China. It had been during the fight that her manager had received the call. Cindy was to join an alliance and go to the big leagues.

Name: Toshiro Leone
Arena Name: The Ronin With No Name
Gender:Male
Age: 27
Team: The Seven
Rank in team: founder, leader, and negotiator
Alliance:
Bio: Toshiro Leone was born pre-fall, to father Cornelio Leone, grandson of Sergio Leone and semi-successful director of revivalist westerns, and Hinata Kurosawa, granddaughter of Akira Kurosawa, and famed director of late 20th century jidaigeki films. The pair met during initial meeting for a collaborative effort between the two genres to form a sort of superfilm. They hit off the relationship, and though the film never made it off the drawing boards, the couple remained together, and had a son, who they named Toshiro, in honor of actor Toshiro Mifune. He was raised on films of both genre, and he tried his best to merge the two genres together, at least in his personal style and mannerisms.

After the fall, his parents were killed for refusing to make a glorious film, exhibiting Ying's superiority. Toshiro was able to escape to Italy, where he found a group in hiding that had adopted a community from what spaghetti westerns they had seen. Toshiro, seeing an opportunity to get to the emperor, assembled the community's six best fighters, and formed the Seven, an Arena competition team. Quickly gaining fame throughout Italy and the rest of Southern and South Eastern Europe, the team soon won the European title of Arena Team of the Year, Europe. Three of the team specialize in lever action rifles with revolver secondary, two specialize in revolvers primary, one specializes in gatling gun, both hand cranked and electric cranked, with Toshiro double specializing in katana and revolver. Their usual attire consists of western themed clothing, with iron and brass underarmour, with Toshiro usually wearing Edo period armour, with poncho over it.

The sound of pounding fists could be heard echoing throughout the warehouse as Jack "The Immortal" Connor worked at the punching bags, the fluorescent lights high over head barely lighting the building.
He was of average height with dark hair and eyes, his well toned body was covered in ancient Sumerian text tattoo'd onto his skin in black ink, protection from the world within which he now lived.
Before the war he had been a private detective, during the war he had been a resistance fighter fighting a viscious guerrilla war against the Chinese until even that was no longer possible, now he was a gladiator and a good one at that, bad gladiators didn't last too long in this game.
Using the flats of his hands Jack stopped the heavy bag from swinging before grabbing his shirt and bag from off of the ground where he'd left it several hours previoulsy, inside was everything that he would require to survive both inside and out of the arena.
Tomorrow he would be on his way to China to join the School Girl , his manager having secured him a place on her new and currently unnamed team, the prospect of going to China excited Jack the resistance had worked long and hard for this day to come....the day that they could finally strike back.

Ben faced up his opponent amidst the calls of "Zemelci!" and "Ripper!", he was a small wiry person, Ben drew his sword and through it away. It would only slow him down, Ripper charged at him, Ben stayed stock still, then crouched and at the last moment he sprung, drawing his knife, as the flipped over Ripper's head, and launched a slice down his neck, Ripper fell to the floor and Ben stood above him looking at the emperor, ready to deliver the fatal blow, The emperor stuck his thumbs up, Ben sheathed his knife and collected his sword, the fight was over, for now. Ripper would be back for more tommorow no doubt, or someone else. He set off down and was greeted by his PA/manager, Sam "Hey Ben, We've got a new team in the alliance, now making us reach our limit, would you care to go welcome it's founder "The School Girl" to our group, she's still a bit wet under the ears, maybe you should train her." Sam said, Ben looked to Sam for a lot of advice because Sam had been in the business for a very long time and had been with Ben ever since he had come to Beijing and was one of the few people that actually knew his name. "Yeah sure" Ben replied, "Where is she?"
"I'll upload you the co-ords" Sam replied and hit a button on his pager. It uploaded onto Ben's it was how information got around these days but Ben liked to greet people to the alliance face-to-face, under the skin there actually resided a kind loving person who hated what he did but had grown colder and used to the death now. He said goodbye to Sam and set off to the school girl's quarters. He knocked on the door and said "Hello?" with a hand on his knife, he knew that some fighters could be hostile at first. He was prepared for whatever she could do.

"Well everybody, time to get up! It's work time! Yeah, it hurts, doesn't it! I said no drinking in excess, and what do you lot do? You drink in excess! Well forget about that now, go make a restroom call, eat some cold pizza, drink a coke, and get training!" Toshiro quit banging the garbage lids together, and threw them down on the ground. The rest of the Seven, in a fit of ecstatic joy, had gotten themselves wasted at afterparties upon claiming the title of Arena Team of the Year, Europe. It was hard, and they deserved to celebrate but they took it too far, grossly inhibiting their ability to work, and Toshiro was going to make them pay for it.

He entered the training room, where the team was lounging about on the floor. "Get up, you lazy gits! We have to work!" And work they did, throughout the day, sweating the alcohol away. By the 13th hour of the day, they had been so thoroughly worked, they couldn't barely lift their pinkies. Toshiro sighed, and forced them to their resting chamber. After they had gone into their private area, where they wouldn't be seen lounging about, Toshiro decided on a walk about the area. The air was cool, and the lack of birds created a pretty interesting silence. Just then, a man ran up to him, in official military uniform. In his han dwas a letter from the head of the Arena Bureau, or whatever they liked to be called these days. Toshiro thanked the man, and opened it up. The Seven had been invited to Beijing to fight in front of the Emperor. This was good news, very good news indeed. Toshiro headed back to his team's room, and announced the message to everybody. They quickly packed, and a few hours later, were flying first class to Beijing.

Manchester
The strap of the hold all dug deep into his shoulder as he ran through the warren of crumbling streets, his steel toe caps thumping loudly on the concrete as he went. Smiling at one of the many CCTV camera's littered about the ruined city of Manchester Ray "Spider" Tannerman dived down the alleyway just as his target exited at the oposite end, Cursing loudly he began to pick up the pace, it had been three days now and now only Spider and one other still remained, the others having been picked off during the course of the game. Stepping out from out of the alley Spider was met by a hail of gunfire Damnit! thats no way to win he cursed backpedalling into the alley, he could almost hear the cheers and catcalls of the thousands of viewers currently watching him from the comfort of their own homes.
Dropping the hold all onto the ground Spider quickly sorted through its contents, a motley collection of weapons and equipment he'd taken from the bodies of the other contestants, little did he know but he was currently the bookies favourite to win Survivor the latest ultra-violent reality program to hit the nations screens.
drawing a pair of hand guns from out of the bag Spider took several deep breaths before diving out of cover, both his and hhis opponents weapons blazing away at each other, he felt the kiss of hot lead across his right arm and the whistle of another bullet as it just missed his head, his opponent however wasn't so lucky catching one of the many rounds fired from out of Spiders guns in the chest.
A fanfare of theme music began to echo around the deserted streets as the helicopter began to descend ready to take the latest champion of reality TV to his victory party.

Beijing
"Checkmate"
"But its only my third move" Jack exclaimed staring down at the chess board in confusion "I know but i've already worked out your next three moves and countered them" Cindy replied matter of factly "But....you can't possibly know that?"
"Trust me she does..." the voice of her manager interupted just as someone began knocking at the apartments door "Don't worry maybe i'll pretend to let you win next time" she said with a smile leaing over the board to kiss the incredulous American on the cheek before skipping away to answer the door. Jack turned to look at Cindy's manager with a look of berwilderment on his face "I can't believe it...how can somebody so....." he wanted to say crazy but Jack felt it would be prudent not to at this point in time there was no telling how her manager would react "...different... pull off a stunt like that?" the manager smiled like a proud father before preceding to explain about his rather unique client "When she's lucid Cindy is a genius; high IQ, multiple languages, photographic memory.....the works.....the problem is these moments don't last very long so be careful around her...OK?" Jack nodded his head in understanding just as Cindy began to reply to whoever was at the door.

Upon opening the door Cindy smiled and giggled with unsupressed glee at the sight of the two armed men standing at her door "oh wow Samurai swords! can i play?" she exclaimed excitedly leaving teh two men looking slightly perplexed at her reaction,
Upon seeing the looks on their faces Cindy covered her mouth with shock before preceding to apologise in a somewhat formal manner "I am so sorry....I forgot to introduce myself...My names Cindy its a pleasure to meet you"

"My name is Zemelci, I'm your alliance leader. I like to meet my new members personally. I see you have brought your second member with you. Would you care for some drinks? I know a good bar not far from here and I can get us a taxi." Ben said, sheathing the knife due to the fact that he was now not going to be attacked.

Texas
Zakk "Flash" Rose sat smiling at the camera's he'd just won the world championship in Texas and was feeling in a good mood. Dressed in tight fitting spandex and with long, flowing and beautifully feathered hair he looked more like a super model than a gladiator yet through an intense training regime with all the best personal trainers and equipment that his fathers money could buy he had managed to triumph.
"So tell us Flash what are your plans for the future after winning all three world championships in America?" the reporter shouted across the crowded room to him, Zakk flashed one of his brilliant trademark smiles before answering, his fingers lightly stroking the white mask he wore in the arena in order to preserve his looks "Well it is my pleasure to announce that I ahve been offerd a position within the White Dragons and will travelling to China where i intend to triumph once more"

Beijing
"Sure I'd love to, let me just grab a jacket" Cindy replied with a smile , pratically skipping into the hallway to retrieve a red wine coloured vinyl jacket "Why so happy?" Jack called from where he was sat opposite the chess board "I've been invited out for drinks by the alliance leader fancy joining us?"
"Sorry not this time i've got to finalise the deals with our last two members you wouldn't believe what this Zakk character is demanding" her manager replied his eyes never leaving the laptop upon which he worked "Don't worry i'll keep an eye on her" Jack murmoured quietly before rising with a smile and accepting Cindy's offer to join them.

Closing the apartment door behind them Cindy smiled at Ben before introducing him to Jack, the big American firmly shaking his hand in greeting "A pleasure to meet you...now lets go see this bar i've been hearing so much about"

Ben

Ben smiled as he shaked the mans hand. They were nice, which was an important quality as well as their ability to fight because he didn't want squabbling between teams. He liked to think of the alliance as one big mass murdering family. "Come on. It's just down the street, let's walk, it would be nice to take some fresh air. I don't get the chance to get out that often. The police keep the crowds off the street and so we won't be disturbed. Only people with clearance can get through."

At the end of the street

Two men wearing sunglasses and baseball caps approached the police blockade. They produced the required documents and were let through, no-one bothering to get the contents of their rucksacks. "We will set up camp and keep a watch for the target. As soon as you spot him tell me and I will do the same." They proceeded down to a house on the street, one that they had rented under false names, and entered. It had a veranda on the top and that was all that mattered. They pulled on night vision goggles out the sack and then proceed to pull out bits and pieces of a gun. A sniper rifle to be exact. They assembled the sniper rifle and headed out onto the veranda. One of the men took off his goggles. The sniper had a night vision scope so the goggles weren't needed. He looked down the scope and through a stroke of luck spotted the target. After a small conversation they decided to wait until he was alone. The last thing they said was "Zemelci's going to get what's coming for him."

"Well then, so much for a quiet and sneaky entry," commented Toshiro, waving to the cheering crowd, who were waving banners, flags, and signs, associated with the Seven. The walk across the tarmac to the waiting vehicle would've been impossible, had it not been for the armed police lining the barricades, keeping the people from trampling the Seven, whether accidentally or intentionally. The Seven made it to the car, kindly provided by the government of the world, and proceeded to enter. It was a very nice car, a large Rolls Royce limousine, with foods, drinks, and a television. Toshiro tuned it to the Arena channel, where there was a special on the Skull Crushers.

The Seven arrived at their hotel, and unpacked their things into their various closets, drawers, fridges, cabinets, and other random assortments of storage. The room was very impressive, a large suite on the top floor able to accommodate 20 sleepers on various beds, couches, and hideaways, with fully stocked bar, not minibar, and a large room service menu prominently displayed next to the modern fridge, which had its own tv next to the ice maker. "Well, they know how to spoil winning teams, eh guys?" Toshiro asked the team, rhetorically of course. "Well, it's ok to indulge in a little bit, but I don't want you drinking too much again, and don't eat too much foods that will slow you down and make you fat. We're to wait here until we get orders to go somewhere else, and I don't want a party being thrown here. So that means everybody stays here, and don't invite anybody in. Understood?" The Seven nodded, and proceeded to order dinner.

(OOC: I felt I should be doing something to keep this going.)

Ben
They reached the bar without any trouble which was normal but Ben was still on edge for some reason. As they walked in there was a lot of noise and flashing lights, disco night. Ben swore "Sorry!" he shouted over the noise "I forgot today's date! Follow me and I'll get us to a quieter place!" Walking quickly through the crowd trying not to loose sight of them he reached the bar tender. "Zemelci!" he shouted over the noise "I thought you didn't like discos!"
"I forgot the date Sam!" Ben shouted back, because you had to shout if you wanted to make yourself heard.
"Oh, ok! I'm guessing you want the VIP area then!" Sam, the bar-tender, shouted back.
Ben just nodded and then followed him through to a room. Sam slid in a key card and the door open. Ben hit open, the door would now stay open, he liked that because he was slightly claustrophobic. He let the other two inside and said "What drinks do you want?" he could talk normally now because the noise had almost vanished.

The music pounded through Cindy's skull as she followed Ben across the dance floor, swaying to the near hypnotic beat as she went and had it not been for Jack taking her by the arm and leading her one she would have quite happily have disappeared into the crowd of people and danced until dawn, letting herself go where the music, drink and drugs would take her.
"Gods how can you like that stuff?" Jack exclaimed as the door swung shut blocking out the sound of the music coming out of the next room, Cindy looked up at the tall American shrugging her shoulders as she replied "How can you not like that stuff" drifting away to one of the white leather sofa's before he could answer her "I'd like a glass wine....red not white and Jack will have...." she paused to study Jack as he shrugged out of his jacket to reveal a pair of heavily tattooed arms, the text a mystery to her "...Scotch.....am i right?" Jack looked somewhat suprised that she had managed to get it right on their first night out together.
"So tell us Ben what have you got lined up for us now that we're in China?"

DeletedUser31931

"Well, some arena fighting, killing people and enjoying yourself in-between." Ben replied as Sam slid off to get them their drinks."Pretty much bog standard apart from the fact that this will be much harder than you will have ever fought. You'll spend a lot of your first two weeks training in computer simulations. Then things relax a bit. I usually take the new people out for a drink on their first night and get to know them a bit better." Then a lady appeared at the door with their drinks. She handed Ben the tray and Ben said "Thanks, Just tell Sam to put it on the tab" Then turning around he dolled out the drinks. "Now then, I'd recommend you don't leave this street without at least one guard and you have to be in disguise. It's safety, we had a couple of our members attacked before in public by Skull Crackers' fans. This street however is safe since you need the paperwork to get onto this street and to get the paperwork you need some extreme background checks. This street really will provide everything you need. I'll get someone to do a complete tour for you guys later. Now then" he said with a sigh as everything was over with. "Who's going to tell the story of how they got here first?"

The Seven had waited in their room for a few hours, generally having a good time, though they weren't amongst the general population. Toshiro was about to go to sleep, when a knock at the door begged for him to open up the seperating barrier. There was a man there, in a fairly nice suit, trying to hand off a letter. Toshiro thanked him, and watched as he walked away. Back inside, the letter was opened, and revealed that Toshiro was to head to a bar on a certain street, and meet up with James Walters, the head of the Skull Crackers.

Toshiro donned his poncho over his other clothes, mostly related to his western side of influence, and headed out into the night. Following the instructions in the letter, Toshiro headed to the street, where a blockade stopped his path. Grabbing the other piece of paper from the envelope, a pass to get in and out of the street, and showed it to the guards. They let him in without even bothering to inspect him, guess the pass was enough. Toshiro headed to the bar indicated in the letter, and entered. The music was blaring some hit from the 1970s that told everybody that it was disco night. Toshiro sighed, and walked over to the bar. "One Coke please, and tell me where I can find James Walters. I have an appointment with him here."

James Walters

James dodged the machine and with a roar of anger he smashed at its skull again. The machine ducked under the blow which would have ripped its head off had the blow connected. It suddenly punched him and James stumbled back for a second and the machine came in for the kill, except it was a set up. James rolled out the way and as he stood up he smashed his club straight into the back of the robot. It stood up and, laughing, said "You win James, that would have paralysed any human." it was James' training program, he trained against a robot which was controlled by his coach. James pulled off his fighting gloves and tossed them to one side. He pulled on his coat, some proper clothes and headed out. It was time to meet the leader of his new team, The Seven. He headed to a bar down the opposite end of the street from the one Ben was in. The one Ben was in served only Death Bringers and their fans and this bar only served Skull Crackers and their fans. He entered to see the leader, "Toshiro" was his name, standing over by the bar. He headed over just as Toshiro spoke and hearing the end he said "I'm James Walters" to Toshiro and then to the waitress "I'll take a Magnums Cider please, deliver both drinks to my room and put them both on my tab." and then turning to Toshiro he said "If you'd like to come somewhere quieter with me we can talk properly there."

The bartender had just taken Toshiro's order, when somebody came up to him, calling himself James Walters, the same James he was looking for no doubt. He ordered a Magners, an alcoholic beverage at an alcoholic bar, which was of course very fitting. Toshiro considered getting alochol too, but decided against it. His Coke was enough. James offered Toshiro a private room, and of course Toshiro accepted. As they headed over, Toshiro said, "This bar and another one look, sound, and smell similar. It was hard to tell them apart at first. Why is that?" They had gotten to the room that James was heading for, and Toshiro allowed him to enter first, waiting for an offer at a seat.

"Please, be seated. About your earlier question that is because they are two exactly the same bars apart from one thing. This bar is for the fans of Skull Crushers and the other bar is for the fans of the Death Bringers" He said these last two words in a softer tone, giving a subtle meaning that they were not to be mentioned again, he would find out about them soon enough if he did not already know. "So then" he said briskly moving on to a happier topic "I want to see your team in action tommorow morning at our training grounds at the arena. Also I'll get you some proper accommodation, There is still a house free from the team that you are replacing."

"Its going to take alot more than that to make me talk" she laughed finishing here first glass of red, a quick hand gesture signalling the barman to pour her another "How about you Immortal whats your story?" she asked with an edge of mockery to her voice.
The American shrugged his shoulders before taking a sip of his drink "Not much to say really...worked as a cop for several years before getting fired for taking a bribe at which point a became a P.I. specialising in the occult though i doubt any of you remember the strange weather phenomenom in New York" he paused to take another sip from his drink before continuing to stare down into the amber liquid as he swirled it around in the crystal glass, he could almost see the doctor who'd helped him and it got him to thinking whatever happened to her but that was another story and one he wouldn't be sharing any time soon "...Anyway once the war started I signed up for the infantry and then the resistance because of which i was sentence to work in the arena's and now my sentence is over its all i can really do" well not exactly he was pretty good at building IED's and infiltrating Chinese compounds but until he could figure out where these people loyalties lay he would keep his extra curricular activities to himself.
"So when's our first fight?"
