Mitchell ran out of the house and down the street, hoping that his grenade had killed the jerry, because if not, then that jerry would be right behind him, and with the undead already shuffling along the street behind him, any wound would mean death.
breathlessly he reached Mcdowler and Cooper.
"What kept yer?" Mcdowler growled.
"Big German, lots of zeds, move, NOW!" Mitchell ordered.
quickly the squad moved out.
"Where do we go sarge?" Cooper asked.
"Anywhere away from the zeds." Mitchell said, aware of the slight tone of panic in his voice.
he could hear gunfire up ahead, it looked like a hill, ah well, it was the jerries, but at least it wasn't the walking dead.
