Most vandalism, even the sneaky kind, is fixed fast. Misinformation doesn't last as long as people think. You can't use it for a source in a paper for school, but you aren't usually supposed to use hard copy encyclopedias either, and Wikipedia is much more up to date than them and covers a lot more subjects.

Yes, Wikipedia is pretty much one of these user-contributed sites. Its information will not always be 100% accurate, though I often use it if I want to find out what something is or means.
