New job system for 2.04

Howdy!

We plan to introduce some bigger changes to the job system with the release of version 2.04. Jobs will be unlocked according to the player's level and not by skill points anymore.

The calculation of the rewards will also change. To make skill points still count towards jobs they will get a malus on all values like experience, salary and item/product finding chance. The malus vanishes when reaching the now needed labour points.

Furthermore, the job screen will change. Stars will indicate how well you are at doing a specific job. For example, a player has 3 silver stars on River fishing or 1 bronze star at Cowboy. When reaching a new star level (For which you will need a couple of labour points) the rewards of the job will get higher.

Pros: You can't get stuck in quests anymore because at one level you can do all jobs (Even though you might not get a lot out of it because of the malus) and it will be easier to balance quests as they can be connected to a level. This will definitely be a lot easier for beginners. The visual changes will hopefully give the player a better feeling when they see that they reached a new star level.

Cons: The "all jobs" skilling will be weaker because everyone will be able to do all jobs already. Still, when skilling that way, players will be able to do all jobs without a malus!
