u can change town names anytime u want, but not player's names.

Youi can also change your character name anytime you want. It requires a new account and starting over from the beginning with the character. If you want to be legitimate about it you have to delete the existing character on that world which takes 5 days to take full effect, but as long as you do not access both you are not cheating.
