Resolved "Fixing" my decision in The Decision

I think I already know the answer to this question, but out of desperation, I will ask it anyway.

I chose poorly in my final step of The Decision. Now I would like to get part 3 of the note and am screwed. Is there any way to fix this mistake? I can't imagine that the devs would create such a serious dead end in the line. I could see if the fix was really tough, but I hope the answer is not that there is no fix.

they offer you either XP for the "correct answer" or $$$ to entice you away
i do not think there will be a way to reverse this choice.

For what it's worth, ashock, the dev for new quests, said there will no longer be decisions that screw you later on, but I don't think there are any plans to fix this particular decision. Also FWIW, you're far from the first one to be in this position.
