Just klick on "Duel" inagme und youll see all skills, that influence duels.
Primary are:
Aim and Dodging
Secondary are:
Vigor, Shooting, Reflex, Toughness, Appearance and Tactics!
I would skill on Dexterity, because of containing Aim and Shooting.
Ans Shooting is a very important skill for good works, too.

Naming your Character "Chuck Norris" automatically fills up every skill in the game.
Guess its sorta lame tho.

Just give some tips please
Don't go to heavy on the dueling skills, you will need the points for the quests. Besides you can't duel until you have a mortician, and you can't get a mortician until you have a town.

to elaborate on the comment made by B&H, if you naem your character chuck norris you not only get 99 on all skills you get to duel without being in a town!
P.s chuck norris can kill 2 stones with one bird
