Appearance VS Aim

Which stat do you boost if your core focus is duelling?
Is going for balance better ?

'Appearance' is only used when you are challenging someone else to a duel. 'Aim' is used in every duel. However, 'aim' isn't valuable for doing jobs, while 'appearance' is.

If you are dueling only, then more into 'aim', and just a moderate amount into 'appearance'.

If you are doing jobs, and dueling, then you want to have at least as much 'appearance' as your enemy has 'tactics', so that your 'aim' is not adversly affected. Basically the challenger's 'appearance' and challenged person's 'tactics' are compared at the beginning of a duel. Whoever has the least amount, gets a negative factor to their 'aim'.

Does anyone know the calculations here, does it go by percentages or points?

If my aim is 100, and my opponents tactics are 50... I attack him

Does he lose 50% of his aim points, or 50 actual aim points?

Nobody, but the developers know. And they keep it secret.
