Dueling

DeletedUser

I have three questions about dueling:
1) Just to clarify, if you lose a duel, but you don't die, you won't lose any money, right?
2) Are there any negatives to losing a duel (aside from dieing and losing all your carried cash)?
3) Are there any level restrictions on dueling? i.e. can a level 50+ challenge a level 10?
Thanks in advance!

wrong if u challenged the other person loses money if ure the defender u lose money for the challenger wins if there is a tie. yes because if u faint (lose all of your health points) u cant duel for 48 hours. yes there is. idk what it is though

There is no set difference for duelling levels to be able to challenge/be challenged. It changes with every level:

http://en3.the-west.net/help.php?article=duel

"Dueling requirements
  • Both players have to be able to gain experience points from the duel. These are calculated from the dueling level."

"Experience points = (7 * dueling level of the loser) - (5 * Dueling level of the winner) + 5"

So at level 5, you can be challenged by anyone from 4 to 7
at level 10, you can be challenged by anyone from 7 to 14
at level 15, you can be challenged by anyone from 11 to 21
at level 20, you can be challenged by anyone from 14 to 28
at level 25, you can be challenged by anyone form 18 to 35
.....

remember, that is dueling level- it is always at least equal to player level, but can be higher (and WILL probably be higher for the successful duelers)

Click on another towns Saloon and look for the red lighting bolt.

The XP listed is how much you'd get at 100% motivation. If your motivation was 50% you'd gain half the listed XP.

Also XP is the ONLY thing that motivation effects in regards to duels... lots of people think it effects the actual duel itself but they are wrong.
