Meyer, thrown off his feet by the explosiojn of a grenade, righted himself to find that von Steuben was unconscious and bleeding heavily. "Looks like it's up to me now", he thought, taking von Steuben's place on the MG34. Without an assistant, the gun was harder to operate, but he managed to resume spraying the French.

Meanwhile, Liebling heard many footsteps behind him. He turned around and aimed his MP40 into the smoke cloud. Soon, he could make out silhouettes of the French squad, and he unleashed a burst of fire at close range. While his squad fended off the British with their bayonets phalanx style, he sprayed down the French as best he could.

With Neumann freshly killed by a bayonet, Klaßen and Bauer each fired another round before charging in attempt to eliminate of apprehend the two remaining British, while Liebling kept keeping the French at bay, with Meyer's machine gun support.

"Sir the gun has reopened fire!" "How many Germans are there sir?" "SHUT UP YOU DIPWADS! I'll tell you what we'll do, we're gonna spread out and sorround them, start shooting at them, and then surely they'll give up." Jean proceeded to order his remaining men to surround the German position, when they got to their positions they started firing on the Germans, the LMG team meanwhile tried to duel with the MG34 and pin what was left on the hill...

Klaßen and Bauer finished off the British, and returned to help Eichmann and Liebling fend off the French. Meyer, who was taking fire from the French LMG, knew he couldn't beat the LMG on his own. It was a one-man team against two. As bullets tore up the ground around him, he bravely fired on the rest of the French squad, with his ammo dwindling. Eichmann was struck in the heel, immobilizing him, but he kept firing. "How many of them are there?", Klaßen asked, half-expecting an answer.

"Fix bayonets! CHARGE!" With the LMG providing suppresive fire Jean and his other soldiers charged up the hill on all sides of the MG34, almost immediately the machinegunner was bayoneted. Jean however managed to bash the commander with his pistol. Forcing him to the ground. "Surrender now you German dog he said spitting into his face."

Meyer desperately tried to fend off the charging French. He was down to his last few rounds of ammo when he was bayonetted. He died with his finger on the trigger, and the last few rounds were spent shortly after he died. Liebling was knocked to the ground, and Frenchman said something in French and spat in his face. Liebling thought of taking his knife and quickly cutting his enemy's Achilles tendon, but his plan was soon rendered unnecessary. Bauer, seeing Liebling pinned down, aimed carefully and shot the Frenchman, who collapsed. Liebling reached for his MP40, only to realize that he was out of ammo. He whipped out his Walther P38 and took Neumann's Walther in his other hand. With his pair of pistols, he released rapid fire into the rest of the French, who were coming down from the hill.

"GAUGH!" Jean back raced with pain as he took the full force of the bullet and collapsed unconcious on the ground. To worsen the situation the 4 remaining Germans were rapidly firing theirguns at the French coming towards them. Freud took a shot to the heart and dropped dead. Louis also did a cartwheel and landed flat on his face after taking a round to his soldier. However the French, heartened by the fact there were only two Germans left closed in. The LMG gunners meanwhile picked up their gun and charged into the fray. They soon riddled the German ,who had shot their commander, full of holes. DeMall meanwhile spotted a German, however his aim was shakey and he only shot his leg when he attempted to flee after emptying both his pistols. With the German down the remaining Frenchmen approached him, meanwhile DeMall checked to see if they could get their commander out of the firefight...

You might want to edit your post, since there are actually 4 Germans left (Liebling, Bauer, Eichmann and Klaßen- I've been keeping track), 3 of whom have rifles.

Eichmann was shot multiple times, and finally died. After Liebling had emptied his pistols, he was knocked to the ground by a shot to the leg. He reloaded both and continued firing, while biting down on a stick to distract himself from the pain of his wound. Bauer, neither knowing nor caring how many Frenchmen were left, jumped up and impaled one of them on his bayonet. Instead of dropping the dead Frenchman, Bauer used him as a meat shield, blocking several bullets before his strength was exhausted, and he dropped back to the ground, now using the French corpse as more of a sandbag than a shield, continuing to return fire. Klaßen threw another grenade, hearing more screams after the explosion, and fired bravely into the oncoming French.

richard lay on the ground bleeding heavily, he'd been shot in the chest. tom was lying unconcious next to him. slowly, gathering his strength, richard took hold of his rifle once more and fired several rounds into the germans, he wasn't sure if any of them had been hit, but it was too late to worry about that now...

Jean woke up with an awful pain in his back. "Sir! Sir! Are you awake?" "Yes..." "The Germans are putting up a fight." "Who's dead?" "Louis and Francois. Frederick was injured by a grenade blast." "How are the Germans?" "Maybe four or three left sir. They fight like cornered dogs though." "Regroup." "Hmm?" "Order whoever can move to regroup and we will assault the Germans!" "Yes sir." "Jean finally managed to stand in a crouched position. Waiting for his men who were quite willing to leave the firefight. "Alright men. We shall, take care of the most voracious of them, the one who used Louis as a shield." "He's over there sir." Frederick pointed towards a spot where there was obviously an injured man hiding behind, there were a few bloody spots on the low rock he hid behind. "Draw him out, Demall shoot the rabbit when it pops up." "Yes sir." "Dugal approached the rock. The German rose to fire, and he screamed and rolled over after a couple gunshots were emptied into his back. "Ahh, our British friends are still alive. Now, who is next?" "Over there sir is a German, he is healthier and in hiding. He is also injured." "Then there's the one who was shot in the leg..." "Take care of the more threatening one first. Here take my last smoke grenade, sneak up to where he is use the smoke for cover, and with any hope throw it and blow him away." "Yes sir." Dugal and Demall approached the German who fired on them. The smoke grenade was then thrown however, the smoke grenade blinded him, and in the fog another explosion wa s heard paired with a gunshot. Dugal came out using Demall as a crutch, he'd been shot. "Done?" "We believe we have silenced hime sir, either that or he doesn't have any bullets left." "What of the last one sir?" "Forget him, he will bleed to death if no one finds him. Let's see if any Brits are left and then we'll go to the harbor." The French moved towards the British soldiers, using each other as crutches they inspected the British troops, mostly dead they finally found two unconcious ones. Faced with an overwhelming number of injured Jean and Duval managed to carry the unconcious Brits by holding the two suspended by a canvas stretched between the LMG and it tripod. Demall, Frederick, and commander Jean all injured, were helped by Dugal to limp onward. Thus the Motley bunch of injured advanced towards Dunkirk hoping to stumble on a friendly patrol, or truck...

(since richard is effectiveley dead i'm going to switch my character over to tom fletcher.)
tom woke up on a makeshift stretcher that was being carried by french troops. "oi! frenchies! any of ya speak english!"

The French continued trudging towards Dunkirk growing ever wearier in their efforts. It was then noticed that one of the British soldiers, who had been their officer had died. With no other option the French dumped their comrades body in the bushes and continued walking. Then the last Brit regained conciousness on his stretcher and started blathering in english, fortunately... "What is that man blathering about Jean?" "I don't know commander." "Wait sir I can speak english!" "You can Duval, what's he saying?" "He's asking if anyones speaks english." "Anyone here speak english?" "No." "You're the only one Duval, just talk to him and keep him quiet I see a road coming up." Duval looked at the British soldier, then asked in broken english where he was from.

"england! what did ya expect? now get me off this damn stretcher! i can walk!" tom replied.

Duval looked at the Englishman, he doubted his statement, but signaled to Jean to put down the stretcher. Amazingly it turned out that though wobbly the Brit could stand. By this point they had reached the road, there wasn't anybody in sight. Commander Jean then discussed with the other Frenchmen on to stay and wait for a friendly or continue to Dunkirk. The French were indecisive, so Duval asked the Brit, "Sir, do you think we should continue towards Dunkirk or wait here for a friendly unit?"

DeletedUser

"dunkirk." tom replied instantly. "if we wait here the only unit that'll be picking us up is the ss. "

Duval relayed the British soldiers statement, and it was decided that it was a good idea, with that they continued trudging down the road, in the distance they however started to hear explosions. And quite uncomfortably close they started to hear the squeaking of tracks...

DeletedUser

tom stopped. "oh no." the sqeaking of tracks grew closer. "panzer III's! find cover!" tom jumped over a garden wall and lay in the prone position. the frenche were still in the middle of the road, doing nothing. tom gestured at them to get under cover.

The British soldier dived behind a wall. The Frenchmen listened and they heard the sound of tracks get louder, "Take cover!", cried Jean and the Frenchmen ducked behind the wall in a wild tumble.
