Worst President of the 20th Century

It's still about the worst president, not the best president.

Clearly, a mistake on my part. I apologize deeply, and I can only hope that you will find it in your heart to forgive me.

Worsz president evah = clinotn.

Glad to see you learned your lesson from your forced vacation. Hope you didn't unpack your bags.

That's because your reading skills make you unable to follow simple instructions.

It's okay Toko, I'll pray for you so that one day you might be able to accidentally break all of your fingers and spare us your insolence.

His decision with General Marshall about Chiang Kai-shek and the People's Republic of China; for what he did to General MacArthur and the war in Korea; and his "Fair Deal."

Carter says Hamas should not be on the terrorist list, even when he was almost killed by one of their road side bombs...

Hard to say...there were a bunch of real stinkers...

Top of the list are people like GWB, Nixon and Ronald Reagan (Raygun)...

A raygun on the moon would be stupid since we have Sattalites that do that, but then again, you could have a killer base up there, and heck, NASA wants a base on the moon, we may get our raygun afterall! :D

FDR or Carter. President Carter let terrorists get away with attacking that embassy, and caused them to not respect us, while President Roosevelt began the path to socialism (which I do not believe in).

Let me get this off my chest, I am sick and tired of people blaming the President for everything during his adminstration.

You want facts, here goes:

1. We have a house of representatives.
2. We have a senate.
3. Presidents do not issue bills.
4. Most bills that are passed dont go in effect for years (most likely will start during another presidents term.)
5. The President is not a dictator.

So, bottom line it is our government that passes the laws that affect us.

It would be silly for me to blame the School Superintendent for what the school boards in his district pass or do not pass.

Also, Your town mayor doesnt dictate the laws for his town but people always blame the mayor.

So, it is just an OPINION not fact on who you think is the worst president.

Exactly how did you think President Carter "let" terrorists attack an embassy? Alright, let me tell you all that is wrong with this:

  1. They weren't terrorists, they were Iranian militants inside Iran, encouraged by the person who soon thereafter became the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. And while the term, militant, can be euphemistically refer to terrorist, in this case it would be inappropriate.
  2. The Shah of Iran left Iran for medical treatment (cancer). Weeks later, Ayatollah Khomeini incited the militants take over the American embassy (not merely attack it).
  3. It wasn't the taking over of the embassy that was any part of Carter's embarrassment, it was an aborted rescue mission to rescue the hostages in which, "after" the mission was aborted, eight servicemen died due to a collision of air vehicles.
  4. Carter's management of this issue succeeded in getting all hostages eventually released.
  5. The hostages were released on the first day of Reagan's term in office, unfairly giving President Reagan credit for their release.
As to Roosevelt, and the argument of socialism, that would take far longer to address, but let me just state, "wrong" and let someone else respond.

Carter should have told the Iranians to back off or we would respond in force. I believe war is bad, but when one country attacks another (in any form, whether it is just senseless violence or commandeering embassies) they should force the attacker to give them compensation, retreat, or fight.

Roosevelt may not have had entirely socialist views (not like liberals today) but he certainly did start us on that path.

lol.

And that is all the response you've earned.
