When you go to settings -> support you go to Knowledgebase before you can create a ticket.

A lot of people don't realize that support link goes to the knowledge base, they think it is just to contact support.
And even more don't even realize the knowledge base exists, they see the link for help that goes to the wiki and expect that is where help will be.

I agree the knowledge base lack of visibility but I don't think the wiki link should be replaced by the KB link, at least not as long as there are so few datas in the KB ... I mean : currently in the KB there are only achievements and quests but not even all of them; it's rather empty compared to what we can find in the wiki : there is nothing regarding how to play the different aspects of the game, formulas, gear, crafting or even the rules of the game lead to a link to the wiki. For a "help" link in game, currently the wiki is much more helpful IMO.

On the contrary, until KB is filled, maybe some links to the KB could be added in the wiki ? They could be placed in the home page and in the achievements list page, to inform players that new quests and new achievements are there and the wiki isn't updated anymore regarding these subjects. IMO the link to the wiki should be replaced by the link to KB only when KB provides as much info as the wiki does regarding most of the other stuffs, especially the guides explaining how to play each parts of the game.

@mnnielsen Is the knowledge base a local team´s project or something that is implemented at all language versions?
I am asking because the German Wiki is still regularly updated with the new game content and events.

I am not against moving over to the KB but like others said, you should then make it more visible and also make sure that all the current content from the Wiki is transferred over.

no the knowledgebase is for all servers and languages and we are told from HQ what should be where, and our wiki moderator have been a bit busy lately, HQ want's everyone to use KB more than wiki, and we are not really allowed to update it..... but most of the teams kinda disagree with KB and find it downright confusing and incomplete - that's why it's still being updated all around ;-) And to be honest, it's one of the reasons why I personally haven't done much advertising, precisely because you pass by there before you make a ticket.

What about looking at sets? Wiki seems like the best place to look at sets because you can see the whole set rather than looking at the set in seperate parts on Calc site (viewing clothing is seperate from viewing ride set is separate from viewing weapons sets) and it can be difficult to put all the set information together rather than looking at the entire set at once is easier. Knowledge base doesn't even have sets. Or crafting or other stuff we would look at and use.

Another question is why are you saying hq doesn't want wiki updated but isnt hq in Germany and DE Wiki is pristine and up to date? Shouldn't it be like that for everyone?

Its simple they dont care.. i would recommend you use the french or the german wiki with a translator they have most parts up to date.

its because of the members on the german wiki havn't been busy like our wiki mod has.... we are all humans, and RL besides this ie. our wiki mod has a job he has to spend time at to pay his bills

You obviously know only a part of the story.
After the wiki was completely updated I had to spend some time making it actually usable.

After I’ve finished and decided to post quests quicker than KB my privileges were cut to a mere editor.
I can’t edit files like before which makes the job harder.
I have to find workarounds to actually update the content.

The HQ was clear about updating wiki — no more updates.

It’s not my fault or responsibility that the other teams are breaking the internal rules.

Also, I want to spend more time working on myself and my future as I don’t play the game anymore. If you want to help and you think you can do a better job you are free to apply for this position.

I will try to update the wiki today (I promise) for the last time. I don’t like to be called useless or careless because it’s not the case.
