so i was wondering...what makes a job appear on your map...is it level, skill, attribute, quests....or what!?

Skill points towards a job will make it appear on the mini-map -
Level also plays a part in seeing jobs (at lower levels anyway). When I had a pure builder I could see new jobs pop up as I leveled up even though I hadn't gained any skill points toward a particular job or had the same gear on.
Note that after you switch gear around you have to refresh the browser in order to see any new jobs.
