What am I doing wrong?

Question about the trimmings well quest

I have 2 of 3 grains and been working to get the 3rd grain for some a while now. I do get flour but not sure what I'm doing wrong

sounds like you're working on the wrong job.
Flour drops on "Milling grains" job, and you should be working on "Harvesting fields" to get grain.

btw. I suggest that you use in game Saloon chat for quick help. I don't know in which worlds you play, but I'm sure other players there will help you much quicker than through the forum where you need to wait for hours to get a response.
