Contest Twelve Days of Daily Tasks Contest - December 2024

Howdy cowgirls and cowboys,

The holidays are in the air and we have a very special version of the Monthly Task contest to share: Twelve Days of Daily Tasks Contest to celebrate Christmas in The West! It is very simple to participate in the holiday fun.

To take part in the drawing for prizes, you must complete each of the following tasks on one individual EN world. You then need to report in game to my good buddy "-GM- Adventurer Mugridge" via telegram messages to document your task completions. Note that this NPC's name includes the hyphens and spaces. This NPC does appear on the main Experience list as well for ease of contact. This NPC Character is available to be contacted by telegram on any EN world.

From December 12th 0:00 CET (Server time) to December 24th at 23:59 CET you can complete the tasks by sending your reports in game as a telegram message to -GM- Adventurer Mugridge.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. You can only submit these monthly tasks from one world. That means if you have the same character on multiple worlds, you can only pick one of those worlds to submit your task completions. If you do submit tasks completed on more than one world with the same character, we will only accept entries from the first world where we receive a telegram report in terms of the date and time it was received.
2. You can only complete the listed task on the day to which it is assigned between 00:00 and 23:59 CET (Server time). Any early or late entries are considered invalid.
3. Please submit your reports as a list citing the day as "Day #1", for example, and then the required report. ALL REPORTS MUST HAVE THE ACCESS RESTRICTION SET TO PUBLIC or they will be considered invalid.
4. The team is not obligated to check your reports on any specific schedule. Submitting tickets demanding review of reports will be ignored.
5. The team recommends, please, a running telegram where you update your list as you complete each day's task.
6. Please do not delete any of your reports that you plan to use towards this event! If the report is deleted, we cannot verify your work/activity.
7. This contest is only valid on regular EN worlds. You cannot participate on speed worlds, etc. such as the current ChirstmasLand world.

Day #5 December 16	Auction at least 16 Crafted items as one auction to a town or alliance member.	A report indicating a sale on the market.		Day #11 December 22	Find a uncut ruby in a 15-second job.	Work report.
Day #6 December 17	Find or acquire a Blue spruce.	One work report or a report indicating a purchase on the market.		Day #12 December 23	Wish Mugridge a Merry Christmas!	A telegram addressed to -GM- Adventurer Mugridge on your world.
				Bonus Day December 24	No action required	All participants will get a free Christmas care package!

* Keep in mind there is a fee involved with sending in-game money to other players.

Main Rewards​

The main rewards will be distributed randomly amongst all participants that complete all 13 tasks with valid reports. The determination of these random winners is conducted by the Event team with a randomizer tool. The Event team is not obligated to make details of this process public.

Secondary Rewards​

IMPORTANT RULES CONCERNING TELEGRAM MESSAGES FOR THIS EVENT

• Please title any telegram message to -GM- Adventurer Mugridge as "Twelve Days of Daily Tasks Reports". Any other message title will be ignored and deleted. Please also note the above request to list your reports. That would be considered extremely helpful to the Event team.
• Don't not message -GM- Adventurer Mugridge or any other GM NPC via telegram or whisper with any questions about this contest. Instead, please message an Event Team member on the Forum or respond on the Feedback Thread for this event.

GENERAL RULES

• PLEASE NOTE: You can only submit reports for these tasks from one world. That means if you have the same named character on multiple worlds, you can only pick one of those worlds to submit your task completions. If you do submit tasks completed on more than one world with the same character, we will only accept entries from the first world where we receive a telegram report in terms of the date and time it was received.
• You can only submit reports for tasks that fall between 00:00 CET to 23:59 CET for each date listed here under the "December Main Tasks" section of this post as a telegram message to -GM- Adventurer Mugridge. Any reports submitted outside of that time range for each day with not be considered as a valid entry. Telegrams timed outside of this range for each day do not qualify for submission to this content. Naturally, any report that is submitted on an incorrect day is invalid.
• Attempting to telegram or document reports from any other type of world (special event world, etc.) or market besides a regular EN game world well be considered invalid.
• The original reports must be available for viewing via telegram until an Event Team member has confirmed them. Please do not delete them!
• In this special version of the event, you also need to make sure your reports are valid in terms of the correct activity and that activity is done on the correct day and within the correct time frame. The team is not obligated to check your reports on any specific schedule.
• Please cooperate with the Event team volunteers with any requests with your submission(s) including but not limited to submitting more details with your reports, submitting a different entry due to duplication, or any other requested clarifications.
• The general rules for contests apply.

Reminder Day #1 (December 12) must be completed today.

Task - Send at least $10,000 to another player with the text: 'Merry Christmas!'

Some advice here: You are charged a fee when you send money, so make sure to send at least $10,000 by calculating the fees correctly.

Reminder Day #2 (December 13)

Task - Get $100,000 worth of lucky finds in one day (max 10 reports). Multiple Work reports are allowed.

This will require multiple reports of course. If you can group all the reports in one message, that would be lovely

Reminder Day #3 (December 14)

Task - Find one fancy jewelry in a 15-second job. One Work report is required.

Well, all I can say is that this is a pesky item to find. Persistence is key...and luck doesn't hurt.

Reminder Day #4 (December 15)
Task - Initiate a duel wielding a Pillow. One Duel report is required.

Find a Pillow and use it to duel another player...win or lose.

Reminder Day #5 (December 16)

Task - Auction at least 16 Crafted items as one auction to a town or alliance member. One report indicating a sale on the market is required.

This was clarified due to some confusion. Any report that shows you sold the required items will work here. Also, the items do have to be crafted items but that does not mean you had to craft them That I guess would be a nice touch.

Reminder Day #6 (December 17) Find or acquire a Blue spruce. One work report or a report indicating a purchase on the market.

So, this item can be tough to find for lower level players. As such, maybe a friend can sell one to you...

Reminder Day #7 (December 18) Score at least 7 hits in a fort battle or take at least 7 hits in a fort battle. One Battle report is required.

Basically do your best to join a fort fight and either take some hits or give out some. Good luck!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

As of today, the reports for the tasks Day #7 and Day #8 (tomorrow) simply need to be dated by December 24th. Please note that for Day #7, there are peace times coming up that will limit your ability to complete that task.

Reminder Day #8 (December 19) Find one penguin standing on ice on the Map. One Marker information text is required.

So you need to look very carefully on the game map. There are actually two penguins out there.

All you need to send is a marker link (a red flag) to show us where you found this elusive arctic bird. You can make a marker link by clicking the "Create marker" button in the bottom left corner of the Mini-map.

As was stated in the Special Announcement, there is no way to date a marker link so please try to complete this task before December 24th.

Reminder Day #9 (December 20) Auction 10 of anything as one auction at the item's minimum selling price to a stranger. A report indicating a sale on the market is required.

As mentioned in the Feedback thread for this contest we clarified that this auction can be literally anything: 10 job products (i.e. blueberries), 10 Crafted items (i.e. Amulets), 10 items (i.e. a Broken whiskey bottle), etc.

What was also clarified is that the report simply has to be a form of a sale report, either an auction ended or immediate purchase report.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Howdy cowboys and cowgirls,

We have started to review your reports. I wanted to clarify some things about the feedback we are sharing:

• If you completed a task we say it is Completed. Well done!
• If you did not complete a task, we say it was Not Completed or Missing. Unfortunately, that means you have missed a certain task cannot make it up.
• You may have received an "In progress" statement. There are two conditions where this may be true:
  • The tasks were Day #7 or Day #8 which were deemed to be open until December 24th until 23:59 p.m. CET.
  • You are a player on Ozarks where the tasks for Day #1 and Day #2 are also open until December 24th until 23:59 p.m. CET.

★ Remember, to qualify for the draws for the Main Task rewards, you must complete all the tasks for the event. However, to qualify for the draws for the Secondary rewards, you only need to complete one task successfully. Finally all participants receive the free reward on December 24th

We should be done with this initial review by tomorrow. We will review again after the event is complete. We'll have another special announcement at that time.

This can be any type of Achievement as long as you complete it today, December 21st and include the report.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - Update

I'd like to say thank you to everyone that has participated thus far. I'm fairly certain that this "Monthly Task" contest has the most participants to date. Thanks as well to so many of you that have been extremely diligent and organized with your telegrams. That is very helpful.

We have now checked all current telegrams and sent you our accounting of your status. Please feel free to respond especially if there was an error. However, we will not be checking telegrams again until after December 24th. If there is an urgent issue, please respond in the feedback thread and we will attentively address any concerns or issues.

We will have an announcement late on Christmas Eve to conclude the event and discuss when the winners will be announced. Please continue participating and we hope you are enjoying your holiday season!

Admittedly, this is one of the more difficult of all the tasks. Consider using buffs to help your chances. Good luck!

All you have to do is telegram -GM- Adventurer Mugridge and wish him a Merry Christmas! I guess even he deserves that at the very least.

Ok Cowboys and Cowgirls of The West!

First, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all. Thanks again for your participation in this special edition of the Monthly Task Contest. The contest is now officially closed.

The event team will spend the next couple of days with family and friends but then diligently review the remaining 2-3 days of reports and telegrams. Once again the big rule here is do not delete your reports or your telegrams!

Once the reports are reviewed we will determine who qualifies for the Main Task Rewards and then the Secondary Rewards. Then we will randomly draw winners from those that qualify. Of course, everyone who participated will win a free Christmas care package.

We will make a big post citing all this information very soon.
