The https server isn't working and I think most of the script's function depends on the https server. As you can see, there's some problem with this site.. https://tw-db.info/

So definitely there's a problem on their server end. Think it will fixed within a day if not a few hours.

I was having the same problem.
Not an expert here, but it seems to be related to the https redirect. When clicking on the question mark inside quests, it was redirecting me to that version, with Firefox not letting me continue (unless I accepted some certificate)
It started working when I gave permission to Firefox access the it (removing the specific quest part of the url).

Hope so. I found it at quarter-to-ten this morning and it's now quarter-to-three. Still it is a free site, so I guess we can't grumble too much. :)

Post-edit: I copied the import javascript from the HTTP site, then posted it in Firefox by pressing F12. I don't know if that sends the data to the HTTPS site or not.

Anyway, Anny, can you post a screenshot of what you see on that link you posted? It might depend on the browser you use, but his certificate seems to have expired yesterday. Either you manually accept it (trusting that no one will attack your tw data) or wait

There's a way to accept the risks and continue in further in both firefox and chrome. I'm using chrome. It's the same certificate error which you see in many https sites when they expire.

Problem isn't we cannot access tw-db. Problem is we cannot update clothcalc or use the import feature. If you just wanna access tw-db, you can use this site: http://tw-db.info/

I managed to use the import feature (the red circle with an "X" became a green circle with a checkmark) after I accepted the certificate.

The issue is that our SSL certificate (necessary for HTTPS) expired again, without much of a warning. I hope I will have a chance to get a new one today or tomorrow. In the meantime, here is how you can make ClothCalc and Import working, as Pnevma said:

  • Go to https://tw-db.info/ (with https)
  • Confirm that you want to proceed to the site (a security exception)
  • Go back to the game, ClothCalc and Import will resume working for a short time

Tested only with Chrome.

Cloth Calc and Import button are not working in Fairbank for 2 days now. In El Dorado, Colorado and World 12 they are working properly.
Sent an email to TW-DB, but no answer yet

I just restarted the webserver with a new certificate (found yet another 90-day trial, after almost a year still successfully evading paying for SSL and waiting for letsencrypt.org), things seem to be working OK again.

Your https trick worked for the import button (Firefox), but the cloth calc is still not working.
Do you have other tricks up your sleeve? :)

Hey there Petee, I have a request.

Can you make the "Allow chatroom to be minimized" in the GUI section to be off as default please? I mean.. there are a lot njubs who didn't even know about this script.. and I help a few people to install it... and guide them through the features, etc. But some njubs start panicking when the chatrooms, as they claim "vanishes" lol. And you know how tough it is to deal with njubs. I mean.. whoever wants the chatroom boxes to be minimzed can get it done. But please set it off as default. :)

Just to hijack this for one post - what does njub mean? I've seen it in a number of posts. Is it the same as noob - as in newbie?

There seems to be a new problem with TW-DB. Now it will not accept Updates. It does the 'Import' thing okay, but when you click on the cross, it will not accept it. Have tried multiple times at different times of the day and night and it just keeps saying that the server is overloaded. Surely it can't be overloaded 24/7? (Although this has only started since yesterday I think.)

Thanks for pointing this out, I haven't noticed this problem myself yet.

I see that there is unusually high load measured on the server, but I see no component that is actually using up excessive resources. Calculation average duration times for ClothCalc are still below 0.1 seconds, which is very normal, there also doesn't seem to be much of an increase in website traffic. The CPU is idle most of the time... It may be possible that some change in our VPS configuration done by the provider has affected the calculated load levels, which the calculator uses to decide whether calculation requests need to be rejected in sake of our website's performance. I have simply increased the load level threshold and started tracking the load levels.

Hello fellow Westerners! I've been having a problem with ClothCalc for over a month now - it won't load. The pistols keep going round and round and it tells me to Please log in first, but I am logged in to both the game and tw-db. It shows my name and world at the top. I'm using windows 7, Firefox, and greasemonkey. I would love to have some suggestions on how to fix this issue. Thank you in advance :)
