TOWN BATTLES

I am presenting idea similiar to many before me, but yet different. Introducing a module based on fort fights, only that is placed in towns.

Proposal
Those battles would be smaller and working by principle on one town attacking another. After announcing battles there would be 12-24 hours of gathering forces and then attack would have commenced. in this fight participation would be limited to only attacking and defending town and no allies.

Details
For example: Black hat from town A, declare war on town B, by black hat travelling to town B and press button 'attack town' (that button could be added somewhere in town hall). After hitting that button there would be a timer of 12 hours (or 24 to be fair) until start of battle.*1 Participants in this little fight would be:

-every player of attacking town who is signed in battle and stationed at defending town
-every player of defending town that is currently stationed at town. Defenders that would signed-in would get ability to play online that battle, players who aren't online and maybe sleeping in hotels at start of battle would appear only as offline defenders.*2 (for note, look 'abuse prevention'). Battle would had some limited numbers of turns, but due to small number of players that wouldn't had need to be very high.
If enemy players hold certain building for 2-3 turns that building would appear damaged and received a damage penalty for every extra turn that is in enemy hands. Damaged building would needed to be rebuilt by workers before attempted to use again.

Each online participant would received a certain number of xp for a reward.



Possible implementation:
Victory of one town against another would bring losers under control of winners, but just in a way that 1% of 4% banking fee would have gone to victor's town treasury: for example town A wins against town B. Therefore bank in town B collect 4% banking fee, just that only 3% goes to town treasury, other 1% go to victor's town treasury. Also in occupied town, a flag pol would appear behind town hall with red flag indicating it is under occupation.

Occupied town could start a resistance war and liberate themselves in same way they were defeated






Abuse Prevention
Note 1: Town A, could attack town B just every 7 days, no less.
Note 2: Online defenders/attackers would have consciously signed up for attack and therefore they may pass out during battle and returned to their town. While offliners would just appeared on map, acting like an offliners, but would keep all of their hp after battle, even if they passed out during battle. Offliners also woulnd't received any xp.


Of course problem appears when a 50 member town attack 2 member town, so there would be an obligatory limit of players who enter the battle: e.g. 23 member town attacks 5 member town. of those 23 players only 5 could get into fight (defenders would also had 5 if all members are stationed in town at moment of battle.)

It looks nice, but you need some way to handle numbers. Otherwise, my 48 member town could steamroller half the towns in the map, as 10 member towns can't realistically hope to beat us.
Perhaps the attackers cannot outnumber the defenders?

whoops, i had that in plan to post under 'abuse prevention' but somehow slipped through. will be fixed soon. thanks for noticing
