Today we would like to let you in on The West 2.0!
With the development of the game being held back, we were working a lot on the background map. Hour long meetings were held, features and community proposals discussed, mock-ups scribbled, graphics reviewed and finally concepts were developed. Out of all the long hours a completely new The West will arise - The West 2.0!
For a couple of months now, perhaps even years, our community has been asking for a new diverse map. Recently we have presented ideas on a possible new map, but now it's final: The West WILL get a new map!
We have been working on a map editor that has proved itself to be a very powerful tool and will allow us to click all map tiles, rivers, trees, mountains, rocks, towns, cacti etc... Not to mention some other cool stuff directly on the browser. All these elements are put together on different grounds to make a completely different and unique new world. Our goal is to provide a 'living' environment and not just a stagnant graphic.
But that's not all! Besides the map, the interface will be redone giving a more modern style feel. All the new already released menu styles will fit and an important objective here is to remove the border around the map so that our players can enjoy The West fullscreen style!
All jobs are placed on the map so we decided to give them an overhaul too! There will be a lot of changes done and they will fit directly into the new map design.
Other than that, further improvements will be made, for new and older players giving you the ultimate The West experience. But we won't be revealing too much right now
In the coming weeks ahead we will reveal more concepts and graphics to keep you in the loop. We are working with a team that is bigger than ever before and they plan on providing you with an all new player experience with great graphics in a perfect atmosphere.
