This is my collection of counter-arguments. John Rose, Hellstromm, etc. will never yield, but I am hoping other people will find this and, at the very least, be enlightened, at the best become Christians themselves.

----------------------------

PART ONE: RELIGION IN GENERAL
You can disprove any specific religion, but you cannot disprove Intelligent Design or God. The average Atheist says that there is no proof for it.

They have no proof that there ISN'T one.

PART TWO: THE WEEK THE WORLD WAS CREATED IN
The Bible is METAPHORICAL. Some of it is literal, but most of it is metaphors. Exegesis can tell a Christian OR a pagan exactly what they want to hear based on if they take it literally or metaphorically.

I do not use elegesis. I used to use it, but I "grew up" enough to start reading it more thoroughly.

So, an EXEGESIS of the Seven-Day Creation:

Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth.
Genesis 1:2: And the Earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of God was rachaph over the surface of the waters.

So, the "Heavens and the Earth" was a common Hebrew way to refer to "everything": the Universe. The word "rachaph" is Hebrew for "hovering" or "brooding", and in modern Bibles it tends to be substituted for the word "moving".

Now, the original Old Testament used that word twice. The second time it was referring to an eagle brooding, so we can guess that in this context it is referring to brooding. God is brooding over the waters; he is creating the first lifeforms in the sea. It is the primordial soup.

Genesis 1:3 Then God said, "Let there be light" and there was light.
Genesis 1:4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:5 And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

Now, Atheists like to say that this just shows how stupid the Bible is. Psh, those crazy Southern white people, thinking the light came before the sun.

The Sun was obviously already in existence, as part of the Heavens. MODERN SCIENCE shows that Earth had a dense layer of gas covering the surface that made the surface dark. God was removing the "darkness that covered the waters", so that the light of the Sun could shine through.

The Sun must already be in existence as there is day and night AS SOON AS the darkness is lifted.

That is Day 1.
------------------------
1:6 Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
1:7 And God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.
1:8 And God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
1:9 Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so.
1:10 And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.

Stabilization of the water cycle. Tectonic activity creates Earth. Day 2.
------------------------
1:11 Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with seed in them, on the earth"; and it was so.
1:12 And the earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.
1:13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.

Plant life is developed. Day 3.
-------------------------
1:14 Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;
1:15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth ";and it was so.
1:16 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
1:17 And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
1:18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

God removes the cloud cover preventing the Sun from shining through. As stated before, the "heavenly bodies" were already in existence, their "creation" is just the allowance of them to be seen from the ground. Day 4.
-------------------------
1:20 Then God said, "Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens."
1:21 And God created the great sea monsters, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
1:22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
1:23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.1:24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.

Birds, water animals. End of the Cretaceous Period. Day 5.
--------------------------
1:24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.
1:25 And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

The original word for "beasts of the earth" is chayyah, meaning "wild animal" and usual being used to describe a carnivorous mammal. This is apparently the timeframe between the Tertiary Period and the evolution into humankind.

1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
1:27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
