It's already much easier than it ever was to be decent at everything because of the ridiculous bonuses that come with each new tombola set in order to be better than the last one. You could be purely specced for duelling, wear Hombre's and still come into a battle with 8k+ HP. Likewise, you could be pure HP, equip Cullen's/Doolin's/Detective's etc. and be more than competitive in duels against anyone who's not wearing a superset, wear Ded Moroz's and build a town yourself in a couple of weeks or mix and match just about any tombola set you like and bring gold pickaxes into most jobs.
One of the fundamental aspects of this game was always the fact that each character specialised in something different and needed to work together with others to form a town that could perform well in all areas. Tombolas have already partially destroyed this element of the game (and most others as well) by creating more and more of a pay to win environment with each passing month, but I don't think we need to help the process along by giving characters the ability to change between specialisations at a whim free of cost. My response every time this has been suggested over the years has always been similar to Pank's; it's perfectly possible to try every playstyle that The West has to offer by creating characters on multiple worlds.
