there is no way ... u cant just leave out 3/4 of the people in the game and add something just for ''some people'' . i like the idea but it has to be for every one :| the bandits will will have a better chance already. there is NO reason to make it just for them.....

Pretty bad idea. Gives bandit something else to do that other duelers can't, not to mention every other subclass(picture), just so you all know
EVERY IDEA THAT HAS TO DO WITH SUBCLASSES IS PRETTY BAD. IF YOU ONE THING FOR ONE CLASS YOU HAVE OVER 20 MORE THINGS TO DO.
while it does sound interesting the idea is not thought out,
how would you become sheriff?
what would you gain from being a sheriff or being a bandit?
many other questions like those

How about this:

Sheriff apointed by mayor.

OR

The sherriff could be a NPC. They can be trained in the town hall. They would have normal skills/attributes. For a certain amount of money, people could use 4 hours to teach the sherriff something. The skill attribute they are teaching must be lower than their own. For example, a person trying to teach a sherriff 27 aim must have at least 28 aim themselves. They could also buy/give the sherriff a new weapon.

BOTH OPTIONS:

Sheriff gets triple tactics (to discourage other people coming). Anyone can attack. They choose a store before battle. If they beat sherriff, they raid the store and steal one random item from that store/bank. Could be a broken wine bottle, could be a quarter horse. If they raid the bank, they steal 1/4 the town treasury.

i like being a sheriif and mayor but not stealing from bank and shops the the hole west nation would be a dueler it would have no goal in the game you kill a sherrif and get whatever you want not fun at all its good and then a horible idea

Now this should be where the jail idea comes in...The bandit who attacks and gets caught by the sheriff goes to jail for a certain ammount of time. When he does not get caught, he gets put on the wanted list...

New angle on the sheriff job.

Sheriff is named by town founder. He/She gets a +25% bonus to appearance in duels. (tin star)

Anytime a player challenges a town member worker or adventurer (duelers and soldiers are on their own) to a duel there is a 50% chance that the sheriff will duel them instead.

When the sheriff wins the duel the challenger is put in jail for 2 hours. Jail is simply a 2 hour job with no exp, $$ or luck and the cancel button is shaded out.

When the challenger beats the sheriff he/she is unable to stop any duels for 6 hours and the workers and adventurers can be safely attacked.

note: Players can attack the sheriff normally and the same outcomes go into effect, while if the sheriff initiates the duel it has no effect.

Also there could be an option players could choose like a check-box whether they want to be protected or not. Some ninja worker/adventurer builds like to be dueled and beat unwary dueling classes without using any energy.
