by asking in saloon/alliance/town chat and communicating with people in game. but you never ever do that, do you? :(
I'm sorry, but over the last few days I answered the same question a million times and it's becoming ridiculous. the information is out there, easy to find, not too hard to understand, but everyone just want stuff handed to them on a silver platter :(

Equip newspaper and do the job Hunt Beavers. I did 15 sec jobs, and it dropped pretty quick.

a bunch of people don't finish the second quest at Waupee and go straight to beaver hunt and can't find the handcuffs. what second quest, you ask? but, I have nothing at Waupee!?

This is a 10th anniversary of The West quest where a bunch of old quests are referenced. When you finish "On the trails of Manitou" step, completion text reads:
"Waupee
Good, this one should do. I will start with the preparations, if you could please get the ingredients in the meantime? This time, we'll make twice as much, because I want to speak to Manitou too. Come back to me when you have everything we need. And don't forget the private ingredient!"

So, you FIRST need to get some ingredients and come back to Waupee.
Which ingredients? Well, he mentions Manitou. This time he wants to speak to him too. When did you speak to Manitou the first time? You don't have to know each quest by heart, but you can search tw-db or tw-calc and you will find the quest and see which products are needed there. Collect twice as much as you did in that quest - just like Waupee told you. Then come back to him, do that quest and only then start looking for handcuffs on beaver hunt job.

This is one of the best quests Inno made, there are some really nice clues in it. I know we have all gotten lazy and just click what the quest guides say we should click without stopping to think or even read the quest texts. But that's what we should do, that's what puzzle solving is about.
Please, Inno, can we have more quests like this? Pleeeeeaaaaase....? ;):)

That would be nice, except for one thing, the translations. I play on a couple of smaller markets, and some of the clues got lost in translation, and I had to find the english texts to figure it out, which is not okay, since not everybody on the smaller markets read english well enough to fully understand it.
I am all for quests that needs a bit of brain activity, but they need to stop machine-translations on them, and have them done by people fluently in the needed languages.

How I like the guys who know everything!
Let's follow them!
So open tw-calc.net choose Quests and enter in field Search the word "Manitou": No results.... Wow!
Next step open http://tw-db.info choose Quests and enter in field Name the word "Manitou": no entries...Thrice as WOW!
Pankreas, your advices are really helpful!!!

I advised you to use search option with keyword "Manitou"?! where?
no wonder you can't finish the quests if you first need to learn how to read... yes, I did say you should search through those sites, I never said that just typing in a keyword is the way. think about it a little, you will get it. you know, it is possible to figure it out - people somehow managed to finish the quest without the guide, after all...

I think I found it... spelling differences between quests... Try searching for Manitu (no "Oh")....

Hello I have gone as far as I can with this, yet another cryptic quest.
I have completed up to: "Just a dream?"
Henry the barkeeper's quest window shows I have to find the second and third key, yet.
There are no clues or hints.
Even with the external link, it lacks any real helpful steps.
And quite frankly, I find these quests perversely cryptic.
Can anyone help with a solution?

I'm sorry you can't decipher the external link, as it shows exactly what needs to be done to get all the keys. The quest may be cryptic, but the link is pretty clear to most of us. Look it over again, and pay attention to the sections in pink

You mean pick oranges?
I have been picking oranges for 3 days.
I haven't found the 2nd key with this chore.

and you completed the quests at East point...? after that I found the key after a few 15 sec jobs.
if you followed the instructions, completed the quests, it should drop. I doubt that it's bugged only for you. but you can always submit a ticket....

I have merged the last few posts into the official thread for this quest-line because it was a duplicate thread. Having all the information in one place makes it easier for people looking for information to locate it in one place.
