Do reports eventually expire or can you keep them in your messages forever?

They eventually expires yes, not sure of the time period however - around two weeks I believe.

if you keep them private, they expire. change the view permission to town/world/alliance and they will be saved.

for messages, you just need to change it to any other category from un-categorized.
