Pure Fort Fighter?

Pure fort fighter build:

Once you unlock "picking agaves" from pure stamina (around level 20 with basic gear), then you can switch all skill points to leadership. I am continuing to put attributes into strength, however. You will reach higher XP stamina jobs at the same rate b/c some also require leadership (building windmills, exploration, building RR station).

I am doing this on world 12 and it's working just fine for me.

So all your SP going into Stamina until you've got Picking Agaves then all going into Leadership?
Then Stamina is still raised by putting AP into Strength?

Hopefully got that right  Just clarifying.

Probably. Stamina, leadership, and hiding are all great job skills, but leadership and hiding are horrible at low levels.

I'm doing the stamina to 20 build, and it's alright so far. I didn't get lvl 10 in a day like I usually do, but you get some good low level jobs around 12-20. Then leadership helps get great jobs later on.

I'd decide wich clothes i am going to be wearing and then take it from there. Meaning put skills points in the right places to get 23, 43, 71 etc with those clothes on.

I've got 71 leadership, 71 stamina, 71 hiding, 43 aim, 43 dodge and 135 - 140 hp (around 3500 as soldier with premium) withouth changing clothes. All AP into strength, skills points where needed to reach those numbers with clothes. Will probably go for hp only now, maybe raising aim to 71.

Clothes: Fancy tie, brown stetson, black leather jacket, sandals and sharp tomahawk, donkey + tequila (for a bit of extra speed i change to quarter horse and brown poncho withouth losing much hp).

Also still got some points in vigor to move since i started out as a dueler.

I am level 65 by the way.

This is not neccessary and it shouldn't be done. Change clothes instead so you have a greater bonus.

Yes you can because the bonus is a floating point which means that you can have an “uneven” bonus. For example 6.5, 4.3 etc..

Are you saying someone with 45 aim is more likely to hit than someone with 43 aim? I believe i read something about that but i forgot where. Whats the source?

I plan on being a fort fighter in a town so would it be worthwhile using the extra SP I get from the method I've chosen for Hiding for jobs and defending as I imagine I'll be doing a combination of attacking and defending.
Obviously, this will leave me slighter weaker in one aspect for either side.

Ah but their is rub too this things your all talking about:thing though is that a lot of people with high aim or high dodge specialise in a certain type of forting, i.e. they mainly do attacks or mainly defences, and they mainly hide or mainly snipe etc

depends where we position the characters and how we make the moves to maximize the skills of our character while lots of people don't even consider "playing style".

for example, if you are always around soliders with premium. you'd need to consider leadership (since it will be borrowed to you)

but consider this: All the skills distribution depends to type of build.

All this advice is worthless without knowing their "playing style". their advice may not work for you since you have to consider all the things below

-where he located himself when he's shooting and how close each target was each time they shot
-know what class bonus each gained each round
-know what sector bonus/penalty each gained each round? Were their Hit Chance and Dodge Chance figures exactly the same as each other or not?
-What about "luck" given that it's a hit/dodge "chance" and so some of it is a kind of A.I. "roll the dice" decision, etc etc.... :hmf:

Can you answer me one question that has bugged me for a while please.

With dueling I hear that only points in tactics from actual AP/SP contribute toward the soldiers tactic bonus, not points from clothing.

Although we know for a fact that HP from both AP/SP & clothing contribute toward the soldiers health bonus.

What I want to know is: Does leadership from clothing as well as AP/SP contribute towards the soldiers +50% leadership fort battle bonus?

I'm tempted to create a fort soldier. From what i read in this post, I will choose this :

All AP - STR to get +1 Stamina and +1 Health Points per level (compared to only +1 Shooting for DEX)

SP - 50% in Leadership, 30% in Shooting and 20% in Dodging.

Screw Hiding, anyone can defend.

Anyone thinks that is ok ?

The best dodging I ever did in a fort fight was on a defense when I was re-skilling from getting my GG and still had 180 sp's in hiding. I was on a tower (non class) and I was dancing like an Irish man wearing tights - I barely got hit. My advice, don't discount the hiding skill as it is used in both the aiming and dodging phases of the calculations if you are going to defend a lot.
