My premium chests were not all that impressive

Elephant - does absolutely nothing, not even faster than the horse everyone has an no added skills?
Cheyenne's Fur Pants
Ostrich - I guess it saves me doing all those quests

This really reminds me of when I walked away from another online game when they made this big huge change that made 50-75% of paying players leave after nothing was done after weeks of vocal complaints from the players. I don't know what premium players here have doled out in real money, but this other game, there was a LOT of players who had over 10 grand US paid into the game, on 1 server. Anyway, how it ended up on that game was all the big money players left and everyone started running illegal bots. Bottom line, the devs went into this "God complex" because of the revenue streams being so huge for so long. They didn't care about the game or it's players, just the money. The only real action that anyone saw was players calling credit card companies and charging back all of the money they had put into the game in the last 90 days. Those people got their money back, but also their accounts were deleted.

What I see happenin' here is this goes one of two ways, either nothing is done and a lot of premium players dry up the cash flow, or Inno comes up with some seriously creative ways of making this up to the player base. After sending in a ticket to report a multi-accounter last night and getting some flim-flam BS response and dismissal, I think I know which way Inno is gonna go here. I got 400 nuggets left on my account and when they are gone, so am I. No more real money for Inno from me.

I like to think of myself as a good premium player, on Arizona I have spent 9227 nuggets in about 18 months so 500 nuggets or €10 euros a month, I also play Briscoe and Colorado but I use less nuggets there but still spend 2500 on Colorado since it opened.

Last year I got a box of candy from Inno and a double up on nuggets for 2 days.
This year I got a box of candy and Stollen (sorry do not know what the English word is since 10-15% of the .NET servers are in German) and the privilege to be able to pay for further Christmas "presents"
When I heard about buying boxes for nuggets/in game cash I knew it were not going to be cheap but spending 1000 nuggets on 1 premium chest is not going to happen I can take our family of four out to a nice dinner for that money where I live. I had expected maybe 200-300 nuggets for a premium. I decided if we got the double up nuggets again I would buy nuggets to buy the 3K pack on at least one world.
Why would I spend €20 on a premium chest and risk getting Bowie's knife or even worse the Sled I already have 2 of on every world? I spend the 200 nuggets for 2 steel since I considered it reasonable priced, on 3 worlds + beta and got 1 named item and it were Hucks plain pants but since I have opened 15+ steel boxes and the best have been 2x named items which have been Hucks plain pants I doubt I will do the same in the future.

I follow your thinking and I see in the last 2-3 updates from INNO that the players are getting more and more *****y about the changes, myself included.
On .Net no community calender which they have on a few local servers to get Rudolpho, no contest for the special funny/funny products, will they let .net hang on for another year buying boxes in the slim hope of being able to complete the collectors set?
On .Net to much of the text is in German, we get shoddy updates with quests that are messed up and/or in German, the west blogs have not been updated in well over a month.
Changes are made with no asking because .de thinks its a good idea, last year candy, marbles and coal were actionable but not this year were you asked?

Basically I think INNO does not give a hoot about .Net at least that the expression I get, if I could find a similar game that is not a typical farming game I would be out of here.

My Xmas present for the old advent calendar today was a Steel Box ( I already had the sled from last year).
Thank you Inno - that was a nice surprise. People are quick enough to gripe when you get it wrong, so I think it's only fair to post a thumbs-up when you don't.
Happy Xmas to everyone, by the way.

Yes I agree that were one of the few positive things I have seen lately. It gives something back to players that have spend at least 1 year playing the game.

Yea, steel box that for me it had "Thomas Hart Benton's fine belt" with a buy price of $1620 and I may add that I already have 4 of them ... day by day the game is more disappointing.

This guys from Inno are really .......I can only see 1 way from here for them and for this game....DOWN.They made so many mistakes in this last few days...i think they wanted to show other devs how to make over 20k players unhappy and mad in under a week.
1-They said they will give us PRESENTS for Christmas, but we need to pay for them:)))
2-on the boxes it says u get items which value is over 5k,10k etc....but when u open it u find items whit there total value way under what they say on the box.For example:from those 2 steel chests i'm now the proud owner of 2 Washington Irving's Knicherbockers:((((
3-now this random factor.Ic no use for it.If i pay the same amount of cash as another player, and i get a super item and he gets pink ballet tutu, this is fair???He has all the reasons to be mad.I mean is the same amount of cash u devs take from me and him at the same time but instead of giving the same items to everyone u turn 1 into god and the other into a fool. This is discrimination in the most natural way.If u don't want the market to be full whit very rare items then don't bring them into the game. But for 80 $ u dam right i want to get the most powerful and rare item i can get,not something random and very stupid.
THIS IS A GAME.NOT A CASINO.I'm here to play a game not LOTTO or Roulette.Tell me from the start that u want to turn the game in to a Casino game and so i know what i have to do.
Already i know what my next actions will be:No more buying nuggets from Inno, already my premium is out since 23 Dec,my accounts from world 1,5,6,8,10,11,12, are on delete mode and in 6 days will be gone.I will be on Colorado only and not sure for how long here to.
I play the game for 3 years ,but until now i didn't notice such a lack of interest into there own players ...they were thinking only how to deceive us.I can understand putting rare items out for grab for everyone...and who has cash can buy them. This is what is going on in the real world to..i can live whit this idea, but as i said early ..if i pay the same amount of cash as another person i want to get the same cool things he has!!!
P.S....And they did all this things to us ,whEn it was CHRISTMAS:((((
Other games give difrent bonuses ,items for free while Inno tried and succefully deceived us whit there lies.
''This chest contains items worth over 10k''...the biggest lie of them all

1. They have to thread very careful in the future.
2. The descriptions on the boxes ranged from misleading to very misleading.
3. Its a lottery and thats what have been introduce with the new "present" shop some will get 3 super cool items like Pats, Billy's and Garrets, others will get Bowie' s, Sled and Elephant. The premium chests were badly introduced, they are way overpriced and contain bad products, if had been priced at a third of what they are priced at and you did not risk getting Bowies but Nats or Athos were the lowest a lot more people would have bought them but then you run the risk of having to many fancy items in one world which could have been prevented by allowing less Premium chests per person but then as it always comes down to INNO would make less money.

Well, why are you guys surprised.Within a year 60% of players have left the game(216k to 95k)

Soon the game will die.Enjoy/whine till then!

Make that two people who got the Thomas Hart Benton Fine Belt from a Steel Box.

Oh, and to add to that, a Precise Slingshot from a steel box on another world.

Rather than flame away, I've gone down the route of raising an in-game ticket asking for a refund of my nuggets spent on boxes, or to return the box (and take away the in-game item) for a second chance.

Maybe if ALL the disappointed players here did the same (raise an in-game ticket asking for a nugget refund or box return), maybe THAT would get the message through.

For 800 Nuggets I bought 8 steels on 3 worlds + beta, I got:
Huckleberries Plain Pants
Precise Winchester
Fancy Jeans
Moccasins
Fancy Fur Pants
Fancy Dress Coat
Green Indian Pants
Precise Buntline

Not surprised I think players expectations to box are to high, expect crap and be happy if you get a good thing.

perhaps they just changed their deletion policy. I have several look accounts which I let die. They delete you a lot quicker than I think they used to and about 50% of world was level 1's.

On topic they are reconsidering this. Perhaps submit a ticket. The pink tutu sold each day in beta for over a million so I hardly think its a question of turning that player into a fool. He must just sell his tutu and buy the decent items that will come loose over the next few months. I have in this time already bought 3 special items on the market
athos foil:40000
allens pepperbox revolver:90000
annie oakleys pants:83000

that is equal to 3000 nuggets /3000000 game cash ask value for +- 210000 game cash

Anyway enjoy christmas everybody and spend a bit of nuggets on yourself.

Most peps here complain about the expensive "gifts". My "beef" is with the $1000 "gift" witch you can be pretty shore everyone playing this game, "rich" or "poor" has bought, bringing inno millions in "get money out of the game". Now!!! Has ANYBODY got anything more valuable then newspaper, marzipan potato etc. If not, this is not even lottery, it's theft!

DeletedUser18357

I don't think they nerfed something. The drop of the boxes is by server world i guess (i'm 80% sure) and not only by the player luck at one moment... in this period, obviously many players open their boxes and the global drop tend to be poorly.

DeletedUser

I saw many identic items from the boxes.I got 2 All's from premium chest (I cosider this drop a poor one) and know someone got TWO howdah pistols !!! This is not right.for me this is a bug.then,iF this is a present, why someone get like two howdah pistols or two inno belt or two rudolph and someone else get only CRAP items?THIS IS not FAIR.INNO try and succeed to FOOL people again.Merry Christmas and i hope you you guys from INNO get only good present from all that money who you steal from us.

lol, ingame cash, ingame gifts, and you're all acting like someone swindled you in real life. Wow, seriously, wow...

And Scampalot, the Bundeskartellamt would laugh you right out the door. C'mon kids, maintain perspective. It's a game and you opt to, or not, purchase ingame grab bags with ingame cash. If you didn't know already the limits of what these boxes provide, then it was on you to look into it before doling out virtual coins for virtual digs.

That's all I gotta say.

I would agree with you IF, and that is a BIG IF, all that was involved as "in game cash" However, your whole theory went out the door as the majority of the people PO'ed right now got this stuff directly with nuggets that were bought with real cash, not in game variety. Perhaps if you would drag yourself off of your self-annointed ivory tower and try to see this from a different perspective, you may find your post as laughable as some of us who feel scammed out of REAL money.

DeletedUser25892

I don't weigh in on many topics...but last time I checked this is a free game that no one has to pay to do anything....and no one has forced anyone to buy anything. If you chose to open a present whether with ingame cash or nuggets (real cash), it was your choice...no one was behind you making you click on the pretty icons....get real everyone and stop complaining. I think it was a cool idea for those who wanted to take advantage of this option :).

Ah, thank you for clarifying that. Let me see, you spent real cash to purchase virtual nuggets so you could purchase virtual grab bags to obtain virtual items... and yet those virtual items obtained are not worth the real cash you spent for them? So, what's the going exchange rate of real cash to ingame cash?

Exactly, there isn't an exchange rate. It's what you make of it. As I already indicated, and as a few others have indicated as well, the items obtainable from these boxes is reasonably well known. If you wanted to know what these grab bags, these boxes, may contain, you should have done a little homework. But let's face it --- you're buying VIRTUAL items!

Hello, they don't really exist! They're just pixels on a screen, values in an equation.

An additional consideration, if you will --- unless some new feature was added in just the last few months, there is NO other option to use real cash to purchase ingame items. As such this grab bag option, this ability to buy boxes with nuggets, is unprecedented. Here you are provided a means to directly purchase virtual items and the complaint is that it wasn't worth it?!? Hmm, from a purely logical perspective, of course it wasn't worth it. It's not real!!!

Jersey, by all means do indicate whether my ivory tower of reason is in any way trumped by your ivory bowl of irrational thought.

Scamp, I am presently not employed (nor contracted) by Inno, thus my comments are my own. As to your insults, par for course from such as you. As to being ridiculous enough to compare real world stocks with virtual wool socks, get a life.

Sweede, I don't feel comfortable responding to your post in the same breath as that of Scamp's post, but I endeavor not to double post. Your thoughts are reasoned, but only if we are to take seriously the erroneous assumptions posed by a previous poster who suffers from conspiracy theory syndrome. From what I read in this thread, the virtual boxes are providing the same sort of items they normally provide when such boxes are obtained via fort wars. There is no valid argument here, merely ill-posed conspiracy theories from youngins' that think the New York Stock Exchange is a video game.

Move along, nothing to see here...

I got 2 Howdah pistols Wyatts pistol and it is silly i can't auction the extra Howdah Pistol to at least make something from it i spent 7k nuggets to get 3 ok items really not worth it in my book. Was a way for inno to make some quick cash i say.I see people in alliance chat complaining about all the garbage they paid good cash or even worse spend money on nuggets .Thanks inno you upset many people this year.. I know it is really just "luck" when taking the chance on these-- but really, let's face it-- this game-- is a "PROGRAM" plain and simple. So real "luck"-- i doubt it

As hard as it is agreeing with such a legendary troll jk
I dont feel scammed except for my junk chests. I only got unique items.
From 3000k nuggets box:
Premium
1.Golden Tomahawk (best avg damage for a melee weapon/not auction able)
2.General Grants Sabre
3. Billy the kids leg guards
Unique
1.Pat F Garrets jeans

From 1000 k nuggets box
1.Harmonica's Knee Breaches

From 2000 k nuggets boxes
1.George Crooks Army Pants
2.Innogames Belt(Not Auctionable)
rare box:song book
iron clad:not that good an item

steel lined:
2 not that well priced or unique items

junk chests: submitted a ticket 750 nuggets
1. Brittle Crossbow
2. Precise Pepper Gun

In my opinion it was still too expensive not that the money could really lighten or make my debt load that much lighter or heavier.

Then I bought for around 210000 game cash(presumably drops from steel lined boxes)
1. Allen's Peperbox Revolver
2. Annie Oakleys Plaid Pants
3. Athos Foil

This was a major power up for me considering I already owned a boone's axe. I will probably get here and there another item . So it maybe my last similar purchase. Also I have full premium for 3 characters up to April.

As to consumer complaints. Mmm lets be honest you refer to the howdah pistol? Never heard of it but if its auctionable that player can sell it and through clever trading buy another thing closer to what he wanted. Also in the german forum the community manager said that the developers is evaluating the results. But they cant evaluate if you complain here . So submit a ticket for the expensive nuggets stuff. The rare bag should be reported as a bug as a wrong wording is also considered a bug ala beta:

Hello Jakkals,

thanks for contacting us! I'm sorry to tell you that given that your report was rejected i cannot give you the 5 nuggets, because that only goes to bug reports which was marked as "confirmed". However i did give you 5 nuggets now for noticing a wrongly written text on the bug report window. Have a nice day!

Yours Sincerely,

kankalin
