Perseid Meteors - nightsky photo op this week!

That's right, once again we have an opportunity to watch the great Perseid meteor showers. A display of meteors radiating from a single spot from the top of the Perseus constellation. Clearly visible, it will be its strongest on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, on the 12th and 13th of this week. So get your love song cds, pick up your better half, drive out to some dark, secluded spot, and watch the spectacle.

Oh, yes. I see these every year.
But drive? I just need to get a pillow and a blankie and go out to my front yard...lol. Except this year, I may also need my parka. (Global warming...pfft.)

They're best viewed lying down on the grass and looking up.

Got my telescope set up with my digi-cam.Hopefully i can get some good pics.
