New World In October ?

At this point, it doesn't really matter anymore.

we dont need another server to spread the playerbase ...

Looking at things, most new players seem to spend some months on a new world and then they join Colorado eventually and play seriously there. Apart from that, there's a specific clique of players who do nothing, but jump among new worlds starting toons there and then abandoning them after the heady rush has passed. They know Colorado is the good world, but don't really care.

In my opinion, some good could be done with migration - where players can bring their favourite toons from dead worlds to colorado and they become more involved in the game. But it's my considered view that new worlds don't really have a tangible impact on Colorado anymore. Heck, the latest world, navajo is already so dead that opening of another world couldn't make it worse than it's at present.

no point even voting for the name, I won't be going there.
and the participation prize is a bonus code only usable at the new world.
as for the other prizes, all you actually get is a chance in a drawing IF you pick the correct name.

So, are they going with a creative -fresh and innovative- opening or a non-creative -wash and repeat- route with this new world? @mnnielsen

at the moment is as in 'right now', honestly I honestly hope we don't have to open a new world this year, and if we have to, then it is possible to do it as a tempoary world, kinda like a speedserver, but over a year (hope it makes sense), but the thinking is: a new world open and after a year it closes down = we don't have dead worlds stocked up, and players who fancy the new and untouched, can get it out of the system, and players who preferes 'the long run' can do one of the older worlds

I have asked to make it a non premium world. I did ask to make it a tempoary world, which was not approved at all :-( at the moment it looks like we are going to do the same ol' way as usual, but on the bright side we might get a chance to merge a few of the old servers soonish

Not sure if HQ is aware of it but migrations are needed a.s.a.p! Outside of Colorado, almost all other .net worlds are under 300 accounts on the ranking and most of the PvP features are becoming unplayable.

I know it's not Colorado, but Dakota has had 9 real FFs (of much smaller size) in the 9 days of September, Some of us like having well-balanced fights and a fair dispersion of forts between alliances. No migrations, please!

Did you ask about a Pernament speed world like I suggested? Whats their opinion? A non premium server would be great.

Worlds go slack once the forts are all owned by one side. Reform the fort system to make it expensive or impossible to hold many forts, and the world will be more interesting. This can be done by requiring constant buiding on a fort, and deterioration if no construction recently, penalizing alliances/towns in FF skills for owning other forts, and adding a cannon to the attacker's side that can be used to reduce a forts defenses.

As for "Non Premium" worlds.... Study Economics 101. This game is only here to provide a revenue stream to INNO, used to pay for the bandwidth which must be around 200,000 euro a month, as well as the staff salaries, overhead, and the Xmas party.

Will be a #new #world in October ?
Yes. Every year there is a new world.

Some say Christopher Columbus was the first to discover the new world in October while others say it was Leif Erikson Viking explorer.

colorado is a prove that people don't like new worlds,
Not true.

But it's my considered view that new worlds don't really have a tangible impact on Colorado anymore.
Cool!:cooln:

prove it, explain me why almost everybody i brougth from my "original" server stops play there...
It is true, Colorado is not everyones cup of tea. Nor everyone with a high level toon elsewhere wants to restart from the scratch on the old world.

Perhaps the Portuguese with Pedro Álvares Cabral ventured into Colorado because they were directed/invited? I'm not sure.
The proof that Colorado is popular can be seen in the numbers that habitat there.
The same proof for the new world. If people didn't want to explore a new world then they won't go to explore. But they do.
Some people like a fresh start where everyone starts off equal. -> polishing boots and picking cotton lol
In the end, however regardless of the world we are in, it is the same game. - to be enjoyed yes?
