New fort set

As we have been seeing, most of the fort fights are won by the attackers thanks to the very high amount of damage they do, and even though the defenders may have good tanks, they aren't enough and they are rapidly defeated by the enormous amount of damage taken, while defenders struggle to do damage with last year's defense sets. Therefore, I believe that a new damage defense set is needed, similar to Sundance Kid's set, as in: aiming, setting traps, leadership, attack, damage and exp. J. Langdon set is hard to find and probably not as good and gives less exp too.

I would also suggest to try to stop making ****ty sets that almost nobody wants. You can see the value of past sets from the prices they have on the market. Sets such as Kit Carson, The Lost Indian, Nuka and Bat Masterson sell for nothing on the market, which is also extremely annoying when you get any of these items from christmas bags or chests. I sold most Kit Carson items to the town shop for example cause no one wants them. Bat Masterson is ok because of the speed but it should've had more than that to give it more value. It's not even worth upgrading like this.

I for one, got too many Bat Masterson items from the christmas bags, it definitely seems like they have a higher chance than the rest. I sold them for a few bucks on the market, definitely not worth the 75 bonds per item. Think of the market value of the sets you're making.

Also, you need to update the Travelling Fair event cause it sucks. Almost everything you get is useless and the fair set is obsolete.

100% agree on everything.
Sunda is overpowered against the DEF sets
Some new sets like the ones mentioned arent worth to bother.
And yeah travelling fair has almost nothing with value to aim for.

Next event , if i remember right, is valentine one. Lets hope we will see a new Dmg Def FF set.

I warned them. I told them a lot of times. I warned them that Sundance was a very bad idea. And what did they do? They ignored it. Now the battles are the most unbalanced they have ever been.

Literally me (and some other smart players) warning them

They might just do this sort of stuff on purpose, they released an OP attack set so people spent more money on nuggets to get it and upgrade it. Then they release an OP defense set so everyone will spend money to get it in order to defend their forts, and so on. They only think in terms of creating reasons to buy more nuggets at absurd prices for a browser game.

The only reason they released this set was because Sousa was the oldest ff set so they just did it without thinking if it was needed or not. Next ff set will most likely be a new Leavenworth set if i have to take a wild guess and that will be for easter.

Even if that is their strategy (which it isnt anyway) nothing justifies putting fort battles in this sorry state.

Most of the players are here mostly for the fort battles. Most players queue 1h jobs go offline and only are really online for the fort battle time (thats easily proven by the fact that everyday the online count in the saloons go up before the battle and down after the battle may that battle be at 20 ST or 23 ST). And the most balanced the battles are the most fun they are (players want battles to start 135 vs 135 and be 10 vs 10 at round 50 not 100 vs 10 at round 50) There is no reason/excuse to put battles in this sorry state. Specially when this was done out of incompetence (i am sorry but the attack side was already the dominating side before sundance so releasing a much stronger attack damage set when the attack side is already the dominating side even after being warned about this can only be named as incompetence)
The only reason they released this set was because Sousa was the oldest ff set so they just did it without thinking if it was needed or not.
agreed, and their capital sin here is releasing sets based on that logic without looking at which set is actually needed

If they keep releasing sets based on whats oldest then 2026 will be new rolling new langdon

In any case this problem wont be fixed with just a new langdon. We are way past that. A stronger defense damage set won't be nearly enough. There is only 1 solution to this problem. The question here is if they are going to listen to the players to do the right thing or if they are just going to continue releasing more sets that won't fix the problem and we are going to keep having extremely unbalanced fort battles for a very long time.

My bad that is true, i was thinking that because Leavenworth is much worse then Rolling despite being released after.

And yes i agree they need to do more changes not only releasing only one set. I believe that attack will forever be way to overpowered due to the new buff sets and also the attack damage sets being more OP than defense i would say even comparing Sousa with Langdon.

Agreed with the travelling fair. They did update it I think, but they still need to remove the crappy low tier '' strengthening '' buffs that won't sell for 1k dollars at the market because nobody wants them. Or at least let us trade them away for more useful stuff at the angus macguffin or whatever he's called.

I wanted to make a thread regarding your first point. I think this needs more traction. I refuse to believe the people designing these sets are so incompetent. The only logical explanation is that they are releasing intentionally bad sets for 2 reasons:

1) to make us lose bonds/nuggets and pay more money. We literally have to gamble to get what we want. Take Octoberfest 2025 set for example:

25% Sundance Kid,
25% Bat Masterson,
25% Kit Karson,
25% Holiday 2025

The only set people really want is sundance kid out of that chest. The rest feel artificially planted just to make people pay more money when trying to get sundance kid sets.

2) There is a more logical reason too. The sets are not well balanced, and they come out at a pretty fast rate. Maybe they're afraid the old sets will lose their value fast, so they're introducing sets nobody wants to fill the void and give us the illusion that we have new sets, while preserving the value of older sets.

The solution is simple. Create sets that at the very least are targetted at actual groups of the playerbase. Because I dont know about you people, but ive never seen anyone wear Kit Carson for example. Take surveys if you need to, ask what the people want, and don't be afraid to experiment. For example, imagine if we had a set with crazy dodging, a ton of tactics, and everything else would be for construction. It would not be as good as the latest one, Austin, in construction, but you could build without getting duelled. It would not be used for attacks, so pure duelling sets are not losing their value, but some might use certain parts of this set when they need lots of dodging/tactics too. This set has value. Sure it might not be as good as a pure building or pure duel defence set, but at least it wont sell for min value like Kit Carson.

@Syntex Maybe create a megathread and ask people to post their set ideas. Start creative community contests. Whoever is in charge of making the sets is clearly not trying hard enough. And I don't think anyone's going to spend 3k bonds / nuggets for a 75% chance to buy something they don't like and won't even be able to sell.

The Krampus set seems pretty good actually, but it's terrible to have a 50% chance to get a good or a complete trash set when spending 2900 nuggets or bonds, or even $3.5 million. If you get kit carson or bat masterson it's a massive waste of money. Especially if you bought the nuggets at their normal price. I also doubt that those chances are actually real :)) I wouldn't be surprised if they were lower for sundance and holiday set

as a past big spender on fort fighting gear. I'm done. No more. Very minimal moving forward and certainly not spending a lot on rifles moving forward as I had planned. Too many times watching folks using inferior gear and lower level scoring equal shots and doing more damage repeatedly. I've allowed this nonsensical spending to continue. That ends.
