Name That Tune!

It's Cream, it's on Wheels of Fire, I can't remember the name, and it's "atonal apples". Is that enough information to get credit?

Alright, screw it, I'll count it. :p

Tommy played piano
Like a kid out in the rain
Then he lost his leg in Dallas
He was dancing with a train

it was The Pressed Rat and Warthog. I thought for sure it was eternal apples but who can tell? Ginger Baker was singing on that one.

The song I was going to go with (same singer as the one I did) is worse. ;)

I have no idea which song your lyrics are from. I would have to google to get the answer.

I think you've won that round, heres an easy one:

"Its a mystery to me
The game commences
for the usual fee
Plus expense"

Isn't that Dire Straights, Private investigations.

Correct me if I'm wrong with the spelling of Dire.

DeletedUser28032

Correct its Dire Straits, lets see if i can't kick a little life into this thread

"I was a cutting a rug down in bar called jugs with a girl named Linda Lu
When in walked a man with a gun in his hand and he was looking for you know who"

[Three] Steps, Skynyrd, way too easy. :p

I did it like this,
I did it like that,
I did it with a whiffle ball bat.

Paul Revere by the Beastie Boys! Boy that takes me back a few years.

My loneliness is killing me
and I must confess I still believe
when I'm not with you I lose my mind

Its gimme three steps but thats close enough for rock'n'roll :p

Britney Spears (Dressed as a school girl) - Hit me baby one more time

"Strange shapes light up the night
I've never seen 'em though I hope I might
Don't ask if they are real
The men in black, their lips are sealed"

Ouch, not sure where that came from, but it's embarrassing. I deserve more abuse than that! I'd still report it though. ;)

Yours rings a bell, but I can't place it.

Easy
Blue Oyster Cult - Take me away

She got a smile that it seems to me.
Reminds me of childhood memories
where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky.

Guns 'N' Roses - Sweet Child 'o' mine. Have any of you guys ever heard it sung by Myles Kennedy? its a pretty good version

"I see trouble up the road
Like the thing you found in love are by the way
And like to cheat on your soul
Like the best and worst of thoughts that lose control
Before you lie on your bed
It`s more or less the same as the things that you said."

The Riverboat Song - Ocean Colour Scene

dark sensation,
strange fixation,
some might call it love.
so compelling,
and it's overwhelming,
i just can't switch you off.

I Googled this because it didn't sound even a little familiar but it sounded interesting. I don't think anyone outside the UK has any chance of getting this. I've never heard of them, the band that broke up in 2009 leading to their formation, or the band that preceded them and broke up in 1989.

A llittle more consideration for those of us across the pond, please?

Obsession - The Union

They've been to the states, though to be honest if i hadn't put the CD in my car this morning i wouldn't have got it either

"So we'll try
Not to cry
When we're walkin' in their shoes
Have you heard the news"

Black Stone Cherry - Blind Man

"I've had a life that's full; Everyone's been good to me; So fire up that fiddle, boy And give me one last drink. When the sun comes up I will leave without a fight, But the world is mine tonight".

Ok I think i am going to have call time on this one.

Try this one for size and i'll apologise for spelling now

"Emanuel Kant was a real pissant and was very rarely stable, Heideggar Heideggar was a boozy beggar who'd think you under the table.
David Hume could out consume Wilhelm Friedrich Hagel and Wichenstien was beery swine who was just as schlossed as Slagel"
